My mum loves those patchwork quilts, they remind her of her childhood bedroom, brass bedstead, po' underneath, picture the scene? I might get her one for mother's day...

'ugger Mrs J you beat me so I'll post this instead <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D10%252F10%255F4%255F1%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_4_1.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D10%252F10_4_1%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

Urr, sorry I quite like them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always wanted to make one when I was growing up.
My friend had one her mum made of left over material pieces.

Would I have one on my bed now? Would I pay that much to have a fake factory one on my bed? NO

I do however still love the idea of Rag rugs. I saw one in the museum (was it the castle) in York when I was a young teenager. I loved the colour and the texture.

Although they aren't my cup of tea I've seen far worse products on offer so I don't see a problem with them. Each to their own as they say.

Okay I've apologised and hung my head in shame for being style police. Perhaps I was feeling a bit grumpy when I found them in clearance! Will someone kindly now delete the thread or shoot me :)

Evangel you reminded me of a funny story:

My neighbour who is in her 80's told us that when she was a kid, her mum always put a new rag rug down in front of the fire on xmas eve. Only when they they grew up did she find out that her parents used to 'try it out' when they had gone to bed. :1:
