But a different payment card as well. The one you use with QVC is on their records and the computer will say no.

Strangely, their computer systems seems to have no problems stopping things if the payment card is not right.

i use same card on new account no problem with discount code

I think you get a voucher if you introduce a new customer.

So can I set up a "new" customer as discussed above, then get a voucher myself for introducing her?

And another thing - - -

My partner often stays at my house, so I could legitimately use her name, my address, and my credit card for something for her.

SAZZA - - could you please change the typo WHAY into WHAT so it makes sense. Thanks.

I got sent a new voucher card in the post yesterday, but I’ve no intention of spending £50 to get £5 off when I can probably get the same item elsewhere for a cheaper price and free P&P.

It’s apparently “an exclusive” voucher code so I don’t know if it’s linked to my account but, just in case it’s generic and someone else can use it, the code is: AUTMN5

If I get one I consider it as free p&p as it’s not much good for anything else and even then it’s usually a bit of jewellery in clearance but they rarely get used as there is nothing to buy.

My OH wanted something but didn't want to join QVC so I set up an account for her in her name, but my address, and my credit card. But it wouldn't accept the email that I use for Q, so I used one of my alternative emails.

She then got the £5 off her order as a new customer, and I got a £10 off for introducing her. Then she was sent a £10 voucher by post for her to use, but I was able to use it instead.

So with a bit of work, I got £25 off 3 orders.

If you do, make sure you have your address set as default.

I am surprised you never get the odd code via email from QVC like the rest of us? The secret is don't buy anything for a few months, and you will get it. Ignore that one and a few months later you might get a £10 code, or they might have stopped those?
I've never had a code and the last few years only bought the Christmas Elemis TSV and I've been with them since the early days.

That is the secret amn, you stop buying for months and will get one. It is like every other company they only do offers to new customers or if they think they have lost you.

I haven’t stopped buying for months and so I don’t know why I was sent the AUTMN5 code in the post this week. I have ordered quite a few things this year, once I’d checked I couldn’t get them cheaper elsewhere. 😉 Maybe it’s because my spending has been greatly reduced compared to the past, or maybe it’s because I rang and cancelled two Advanced Order products that I had ordered before I decided that I didn’t want them.

As I said in my earlier post, I’m not spending £50 just to get a fiver off. I could save £5 by buying elsewhere. Hopefully the code will be of use to others, assuming it’s not linked to my account.
