Not recommended by doctors either, can cause all sorts of problems.
Have done a Google search of the info..sounds scary(((shudder))) I wore spanx a few yrs ago , so uncomfortable and constricting I could only stand them for a couple of hours, thankfully not long enough to cause any toilet problems, but I have heard of women wearing them in the early months of pregnancy, cant be a good idea.
Perhaps the health problems are due to wearing too small a size in the hope of looking slimmer.maybe wearing the recommended size is a bit safer? I do hope so because control wear is very popular and does improve the appearance of some women in some outfits.

Did you notice that all the news souces listed on that Google search were the sensationalist ones? Mail online at top, rapidly deteriorating into international local news.

I would advise a healthy dose of common sense before falling for the melodrama. Remember, our great-grandparents were born from women who lived their entire adult lives squished into corsets, yet their organs survived, and so did the human race.

As you say, most problems are probably because women buy a size too small, then blame the garment. Ridiculous!

I live in a variety of these, cotton thong under correct size of knicker. Very comfortable, very flexible, no cutting, no panty lines, no compression, just well fitting clothes and an improved outline.

i love control/special underwear! i don't want it for a smaller size (though that would be a bonus! lol) but i like it for smoother lines under certain clothing. but i have learnt not to go for 'firm control' because it is hard to get on, uncomfortable to wear and, like some people have already mentioned, the fat has to go somewhere.
