Today's TSV - Protect-a-Bed Quilted Mattress & Pillow Set

Just wondered if anyone had any opinions on today's TSV? I keep seeing media reports about the spread of bed bugs and wondered if this item is as good as they say it is.

i thought (from the description) this may be interesting...but i looked at the video on the website and realise it will be very difficult to use - as it is fully encased, it means that the sheet has to be placed underneath the mattress then zipped around the edge. For me, it would just become impossible to take it off and clean and put back as the mattress is too heavy - even turning it hardly ever happens!!!

Good luck if you do get it...I like the idea but it unfortunately will not work for me...

That's a thought. I nearly always do myself a mischief if I try turning the mattress.

I know! Well, I do not know, (obviously) but I can empathise...I struggle to move the mattress a little when it has moved off the base (if that makes sense?)

Not sure if this is of any use, but I am thinking of at some point swapping our existing mattress for a memory foam one, partly because of the weight issue, but also because they are apparently too dense to allow bed bugs etc to inhabit...

I do not understand why qvc sell things like this when they're in every dept store and their websites.ok,they might not be the complete zipped caboodle - but they are everywhere.I just cannot see the point - especially with such a high P&P
