I find the quality for the price is better on QVC.I live in London and find many stores stock them but they are a very stock item and a poor relation to my QVC ones. There is also quite a large vintage shop in Brighton that sell lots of them - and whilst these are a bit more attractive and a bit more up my street, the prices are astronomical.

I bought a repro one from a shop in western road, hove, brighton called western lighting about 20 years ago. An impulse buy and it was quite expensive. I still have it. Just looked at the label on the bottom and it is a loxton lighting one.

I remember Western Lighting. Used to be called Town & Country Lighting and was near Norfolk Square. Always seemed to have a "closing down sale.!"

Used to be all lit up at night. I had a friend who lived in Temple street which was why I saw the shop.

Yes, that's it! At the bottom on the corner. I dread to think what their electricity bill was! I used to live in York Avenue just up the road, near Furze Hill.

I can't imagine I'll ever be sad, shocked and gutted at the demise of a range on a shopping channel.
