- - - just featured on Radio 4 at 6-30 pm today.

It is the funniest thing EVER shown on QVC, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, here it is on Youtube - -

It still makes me roll around the floor laughng, aven after all these years and many viewings.

It was featured on Chris McCausland's comedy quiz, where sighted people have to guess what is happening just by listening to sounds.

Yes, he is the blind dancer from Strictly.

Here is the radio programme, the clip is about 11m 40sec from the start - - -

I consider myself very lucky to have seen this LIVE, as it was actually being shown on QVC, so I just didn't know what disaster would happen next. :) :) :)

And in the end, it wasn't even sucking the dirt up, so they stopped the live picture and just showed a still photo.

And at various rtimes you could hear the studio staff laughing out loud. At the end, Catherine Stewart was crying (NOT with laughter), and was never seen on QVC again, after 16 years of being a regular (I think that's how long she said).

She also said she would NEVER work with Charlie again, and she was true to her word as she never appeared again, but Charlie is still going.

On the predecessor to this forum, she was known as SVL, Strict Vacuum Lady, anyone remember that?

That is so funny. I think I had seen it before but not in its entirety. The funniest part is from about 6.45 when she demonstrates emptying the dust chamber. I think the show-offs on The Apprentice could have done a better job and they have been notoriously bad when they have done the tv live selling task.

Did the guest presenter ever work on QVC again? Oh, you just answered that - sounds like she didn’t.

Speaking of The Apprentice, and on the subject of bad selly telly demonstrations, remember the episode where they were trying to sell a mini trampoline thing? (I just tried to post a video link but it won’t work so this was a pointless post, sorry!)

I've never seen that before, thanks for sharing it! I noticed the last bit when it wasn't picking up the dirt and the camera stopped.

I wonder if anyone who saw that clip bought one? It looked complicated based on that presentation.

I saw this live and it was so funny but to rival this I also saw Adrienne Barnard demoing a frying pan and I think it was an omelette she had made and she tipped the pan and it slid out. She managed to catch it but her remark was loud and clear. Oh F??k. I will never forget it.

Bl%%dy hilarious! You can almost hear Charlie smirking! I have visions of her cracking him across the head with the vac. when the camera cut! And when she upended the container and everything fell out that was just the finishing touch.

And she followed it with the comment 'I'm just going to finish off...' Couldn't have put it better, dear!

Does this work?
Your link shows “video unavailable” for me (on an iPad), as did the link I posted yesterday, hence I removed it from here. Can others view it ok then (LadyM has commented)? It could be my iPad setting, although I don’t have a problem at all with YouTube usually and I was able to view it when I just went straight to YouTube.
