Was flicking tho the channels, stopped on Gemporia as l had a phone call. That was at 7pm. Now 7.35 and Adina has been talking non stop and has only just started selling. She has been talking non stop about items coming up but no prices until now, 35 minutes of rubbish talk about Kimbie tat. Shall avoid this channel in future. Unbelievable drivel.

There is noticeable waffle from all of the presenters now - that on top of Troth's 30+ minute ramblings too. I genuinely believe that they don't hold as much jewellery in stock these days, so it's a 'time filling tactic to drag shows out.

That's my gut instinct.

Gem Collector is annoying too. Emily Fox doesn't start each hour until 15 minutes past the hour - then after she's finished chatting s**t for another 10 minutes, she's rushing through trying to show all of the stones in 35 minutes.

The shows are supposed to be an hour long!

There definitely has been a shift. If you see a two hour show on the schedule, you're guaranteed a thirty minute lecture, during which the presenter will also repeat themselves. Kate did this yesterday with Zambian emeralds.

What she also did - and not for the first time, either - was talk about "investment", displaying third party slides briefly with the word prominently positioned in the centre and in large letters. She did carefully say the required caveats about not being a financial adviser, etc but she was very close to the wind on breaking the rules. Angeline has done this too. Makes me quite uncomfortable and cross. It's almost as if they've been trained on subliminal messaging.

She doesn't even try nowadays. She used to be very good at getting through an hour, giving everyone enough time to make a decision based on the quality of each stone, compared to other examples of the same type, and on the price. The mantra these days (she said it again yesterday) is " If you don't ask to see the stone, I ain't wasting my time showing it or reducing the price". Didn't used to be this way all the time as a standard rule. And to be fair to Jim, he actually tries to show stones across the hour, some of which catch his eye or he's been told to sell or he can see the Web page click statistics go up on an item.

The waffling droning on for absolutely ages does my head in. I can no longer watch a show as I just cannot put up with it. I tend to look on the website to see if anything catches my eye, very little does now.

Gem Collector is unwatchable now. I cannot stand Emily at all - and Jim, as nice as he is, just doesn't suit Gem Collector.

Could be right - unless it's Jade!! Two days running this week so far with four hours of Visage "bundles" scheduled (two with Ellis, two with Adina). Plus a two hour Primal show yesterday.

Jewellery items scheduled at the moment include Greenland Ruby (not a new thing) and yet another Toby instalment of Balinese jewellery. Both - I think - are totally bought in pre-made.

The last site-wide discount % offered was 15%, which is one of the lowest offered ever, isn't it?

Yes 15% for International Women's Day, while they had 20% for Tucson a day earlier. Consistency would be good. They also have either 50% off or up to 65% off rings every other week.

I wonder if the Visage bundles and vitamin sales are more to do with overstocked warehouses and expiry date approaching - 12 months to go so sell sell sell for spring when people are getting out and about.

The Visage 'bundle' is a con, in my opinion. A few months ago, I saw one of these 'bundles', and when Ellis and Kati worked out its price, they used the full price of the items inside to make it seem like a great deal. They didn’t base it on the prices the items are 'crashed' to on air.

Why? I'll let you draw your own conclusions. My instinct tells me it’s probably because the 'bundle' isn’t much cheaper - if at all - than buying the items separately at their 'crashed' price.

As for the Primal clearances. 12 months expiry? Nowhere near. It's usually three months at most - often less.

So, the Primal clearances are usually there 'cos they're getting near their sell-by date? That's absolutely disgraceful! So typical of the shystery that goes on nowadays.
I'm glad I never bought any!

Greenland Ruby? That's probably why Trump wants to buy Greenland! So he's been duped too. 🤣

Day 3 - schedule currently advertises 2 hours of Primal with Angeline and yet two more hours of Visage with Lindsey Carr later...😱

Don't worry though. Angeline's love-in with Steve is followed by a whole 2 hours with TMWNN's favourite Gemporia salesman. Angeline posted one of those "Breaking News" BS segments to advertise the thing with Jake. About Ethiopian emeralds, I wonder what that "news" could be? Let me guess...

a) Mine closed! (Probably was years ago...)

b) We can't get any more (You don't buy gemstones any more. You sell the best back into the market and then try and shift the dross through Gemporia in ridiculously small amounts of metal for ridiculously high prices)

c) You must buy it now before it's too late

🤔

If they are selling the best gemstones back into the market and trying to sell 'the dross' to their Gemporia customers, then it's not Gemporia/GemsTV any more. It's a scam and no-one should buy from them any more.
How could they have stooped so low?

Ellis had a stupid Breaking News hour yesterday and I thought it might be something on the Tanzanite mine. But no, Gemporia were just selling champagne argyle diamonds with some authenticity certificate. Nothing actually in the way of breaking news.

The Breaking News announcements are rarely about anything of interest.
I actually think they're getting it hard to find enough jewellery to keep going!

In fairness, Steve is usually honest about them being reduced in price because they're close to expiry - and he does hold the expiry date to camera for people to see.

The so-called 'breaking news' is regurgitated old news anyway.

Gemporia really need to learn the difference between 'breaking news' and just 'news'.

It's hardly 'breaking news' if they're telling us about something that happened last week, last month or last year.
