The interview with DG looks uncomfortable, from the clip.

Some would say the SB is being exploited, that she is "vulnerable" etc.

QVC wouldn't agree, apparently.

I would say she is being exploited when she has to go and answer questions from lots of different people mostly the same questions repeatedly.
I've out of interest watched an interview with her, you can tell the majority of questions had been scripted and rehearsed before hand.
It must be terribly difficult for someone who in my opinion has a learning difficulty/socialisation problems and has lived a secluded routine filled life in the same environment to be faced with all the circus of media around her and no fixed routine.
I may of course be completely wrong and she loves it, she doesn't really look like she does though!
Why they don't let her sing and not do all this PR stuff beats me!
(I worked in mental health services for 12 yrs and I base my opinions on what I learnt doing that job)

From what I've heard SB loves her new life. She always liked to be the centre of attention and enjoys the spotlight. I'm sure Q would have no qualms about exploiting anyone or anything, but I think SB is can handle it .

Susan Boyle like Fred Dibnah were plucked from Obscurity, Fred in the early days clearly looked uncomfortable on screen . but as the years went by he seemed to find a niche that he was clearly comfortable with

To be honest I dont think Susan will be in the limelight as long as Fred was , something tells me theres only so much covering of other peoples work you can do before you simply run out .. i guess if she is being advised properly regarding money she will have made enough to live comfortably for the rest of her life & never have to appear on tv again

The limelight isnt for everyone

tbh I don't enjoy the interviews and performances of "artistes" flogging their latest record. Don't know why.

Why are they always free of p&p ?

Its not free p&p its p&p included which means the price is higher coz the p&p has been added into the price, places like hmv offer free p&p all year round

It makes me very uncomfortable to see her interviewed. Wish they would just let her sing!

Sorry to any fans of hers but I've never understood what all the fuss is about. Maybe it's that her style of music is not my taste but I don't think her voice is that great.

Susan Boyle

She is just another singer that I prefer to hear rather than see. I have not watched any of the singers that have been on QVC...imo there is something not quite right wjth a singer appearing on a shopping channel...

Not my kind of music, however, I think she seems very vulnerable but derives huge pleasure from meeting and singing with her heroes.

Call me a cynic but I think Simon Cowell's eyes lit up during her audition not because of her talent but at the prospect of a "rags to riches" type transformation.

Of course Mr Cowell would have been rubbing his hands with glee.

The music businees has exploited people for decades. The thing with the so called overnight success is that they are nowhere near prepared for what is to come, they would however be naive if they didnt see it coming, very much a case of be careful what you wish for.

Il Divo next week, why? I love them but on Q seems wrong. Are they on the descent? Hope not but that is the feeling when "stars" appear there.

I thought I read that she was a regular at her local karaoke venue(pub, club I dont know) and liked nothing more than singing as much as she could to everyone. She didnt seem shy during Britains Got Talent!

It feels that way to me too, a bit like going on the reality TV programmes along with the 'has beens'. Only exception is the charity CDs as it feels right to give them as much national exposure as possible as otherwise they wouldn't succeed, so it was good to see the Military Wives

I am sure she is Burlz, but enjoying being a 'celebrity' and the money it brings in, even if Simon whatsits and Q make a bomb out of her. if people are gullible enough to buy her records, it is up to them. I know she seems to be very popular.

I like Susan Boyle purely because what you see is what you get. Ok so she doesn't fit the picture of a celebrity that the public are comfortable with but that just endears her to me even more. I wish her all the very best but hope she isn't being asked to do anything she isn't happy with in order to sell records, she may be contracturally obliged, though.
