I use sunscreen all year round and have often used Ultrasun 30 but it is a bit overpriced (though much cheaper through Amazon marketplace traders).

At the moment I'm using Calypso Once A Day factor 40 which does the same job and is only £6 for 150ml from Home Bargains. Like Ultrasun you need to put it on clean dry skin and leave it for 15 minutes to bind. Think it is good value and definitely works.

I don't really see the point of tans anymore.I'm quite pale but a 2 week sun holiday and I go a lovely dark brown - but it certainly needs *work*.IMO why bother when I can get the same results from a bottle in an hour :sun:

I've never had a tan in my life. Have very fair skin that burns to a crisp in the sun, have even got full-blown sunstroke from walking in and out of the shops on a hot day. Have tried to fake it but the fake tans always streak, the gradual tans don't seem to do very much, and they all smell, well, fake. So like the pale one in Girls Aloud, I take pride in having well conditioned skin with a nice sheen, but I remain pale and interesting!
