Sun cream

When AY is peddling the Ultrasun stuff she always makes a point of saying that it is supplied by fire brigades to protect the firefighters when working in the sun.

I mentioned this to my brother this morning - senior officer in the London Fire Brigade, and he says it's a load of rubbish. They don't even provide the men with drinking water when they have heat exhaustion at large jobs (too expensive) so sun cream at £15 a pop is a non-starter.

Next time she starts spouting this "fabrication" I will actually call and tell her that she is literally wrong.

I could have sworn she said that the clear lotion was waterproof and that you could go in the pool and not have to worry. I went for a paddle in the sea with my two small grandchildren in Malta a couple of weeks ago, a couple of hours later I had burnt shins and feet!!!!

Did you rinse off the salt-water? The sun might have reacted with that, perhaps?

I've hadn't actually heard AY say firefighters. I know she's mentioned police forces and building sites etc. I suppose it could be supplied by other forces? But I'd've thought most of the time they were pretty well protected with clothing etc.
