Trump has ordered millions of this malaria tablet which is supposed to help but there is no actual proof.
Some doctors said if you had the BCG injection it is supposed to help you survive? I had mine at school at 11 I think? All I remember is the 6 needle thing kept coming up and down on my arm so they decided to just give it to me anyway.
I don't remember ever having the flu what I always got was a very bad chest infection but as I have asthma they give me the flu jab every year.
We've changed the way we're shopping by doing an essentials one mid week & a farm shop visit on a Saturday morning. I do the shopping & my Mr T goes for a run! I've also ditched our usual Sainsburys for a nearby Sainsburys Local & the staff said that today was the busiest they'd known since the world tilted on its axis with customers telling them it was the first day of their Easter holiday. I wonder if that was why there were more cars.I went out this afternoon to the chemist to pick up a prescription for my mum, as we can't have it delivered as she would just take all her tablets one after another, so we have to put them in a box with a code for the carers to give them to her.
I was aghast at how many cars were on the road. It was nearly like a normal day. It wasn't just one person in each car either, but 2 or more.
The chemist was one in one out. The local shop where my mum goes every day, she has Alzheimer's and doesn't think she will catch anything when we tell her not to go out, also has a one in and one out policy. Lord knows what happens when she arrives as she will just quite happily toddle in ahead of everyone. I can see her ending up on the local news!
The people in my road whom I thought would ignore the stay at home, no social visits, etc., are exactly the ones that I thought would ignore it. Most are obeying, but the ones who are not are really making me very cross. Morons is too good a word for them.
I would like to think that was the reason for more cars, but alas I think they are just all stupid, and you can't fix stupid. We've changed the way we're shopping by doing an essentials one mid week & a farm shop visit on a Saturday morning. I heard her talking, as you say it was heart-wrenching. We have had decades of medical advances & technology that haven't just saved lives but given people back their quality of life, & that for me is what's important. We've never faced anything like covid - 19 before & it's shown us just how fragile we are. This lady's husband had a heart attack four years ago, my dad had his first one when he was 56, & I can remember the cardiologist explaining what the drugs would do, told him to carry on playing golf, that he needed to avoid smoky atmospheres & to be aware of how dangerous flu & chest infections were. He was a sensible man, followed instructions & I believed that his heart would be alright but it wasn't & however healthy he was it was damaged & tired. He died fourteen months after my mum had passed & when I heard Sue Martin saying her husband was 'very, very healthy' I could put myself in her shoes but as it with my lovely dad her husband's damaged heart can't cope. Those who see themselves as invincible are too stupid & uncaring to realise that their selfishness is killing others even if they are unscathed. We are not only undergoing C-19 shut-down, but having to endure irresponsible circulation of wild ideas to cure or prevent the virus; bonkers conspiracy theories; or the numpties treating this as an extended bank holiday. I despair about the future of humanity in the face of colossal stupidity...
And don't get me started on the street parties, house parties etc going on.
I read a heart-wrenching story of a wife and mother begging to see her husband with her kids one last time. He's on a ventilator and the medics can do nothing more for him. Ordinary people are facing the most agonising time, and mindless morons are taking the p!ss, without a care in the world. It makes me so cross.
Thank you Shopps & wishing you & yours the same ❤❤ xxxWe have a small retail park at the bottom of our road/square and a grassy wooded area at the top, the retail park has an Aldi, Costa, Franky and Bennys, Home and Bargain and a Super bowl, so for us it’s just like a normal day if you could count people queuing outside to get in a shop “normal” There’s only Aldi and Home and Bargain open and it’s still been extremely busy with people panic buying. All my neighbours seem to be sticking to the order not to go out though, all we can hear in our garden are kids playing in the neighbours back garden a few doors away.
Hope all my forum buddy’s are safe and well and can enjoy Easter weekend as best you can, stay safe, love you all ❤❤ xxx
