Steiff Collectable Bears

Anyone purchased one of these before? I just caught the last few minutes.

Hi Richkid, I've got a small collection of Steiffs - what is it you want to know? If you're considering one then I can vouch for the fact that they are quality bears and all extremely gorgeous!

I was going to buy one as a gift for Christmas for a child (4 years)... They look more to be for collection than everyday child's play though. would that be right?

The plush range is for children but the expensive mohair etc. pieces are aimed more at collectors. They are the epitome of high quality and addictive. I have more characters than bears and they are perfect in every detail.

Sooty and Soo are gorgeous but why no Sweep? Tbh Soo could be a bit of a nag, but I suppose because she's pretty Sooty overlooks that.

I agree. The mohair range are collectors' bears and priced accordingly but they have recently brought out the plush range and they are much more reasonably priced plus extra cuddly into the bargain!
I'm sure any four year old would love one! :happy:
