To be fair Bid-up.tv used to be available on Telewest on demand and was a very good site shame they dropped it.

It was 10 years ago but if I remember rightly you could see the items available and I am sure (but not certain) you could bid. Of course at that time Telewest owned 38% of Bid-up.tv before virgin bought them out and sold it to the Germans so they wanted to promote the channel. I wish i had some visual evidence as it was very innovative for it's time in the still new world of cable tv.
