As someone lacking limbs and has to manage the bending business I am curious about the slip ins. I might try them if I like the design.

My husband has very limited mobility, has so much trouble bending down to pull on his shoes. He had a knee replacement last week, and will have the other one done later in the year. I finally managed to persuade him to try the slip ins, ( he’s always reluctant to try anything new!) and he is amazed at how much he likes them, and how easy it is to slip them on and off. Even the physiotherapist recommended them. We’re lucky as we have a Pavers near to us, and they have a large selection of Sketchers at very reasonable prices .

Thank you, very useful feedback.

Same here . I had 2 knee replacements last year and the slip ins are brilliant. Tell him the pain is worth it but to do the exercises if he is able.

Anyone know if it’s best to go for your usual Skechers size with the Slip-Ins? I tend to be a 7 in other footwear but nearly always a 6.5 in Skechers so I stick with that. I haven’t had any Slip-Ins, though. The reviews on Q don’t help (and I note they are mostly negative, which surprises me, especially as on Amazon, people love them).

He’s managing quite well so far with the exercises, early days yet! He went with his normal size with the slip ins, but I find I have to go down a size with the normal Sketchers, although I haven’t tried the slip ins. That’s the one problem with Sketchers, sizes can vary.

Andi I've gone for the same size in slip ins as in other skechers and they seem about the same. I'm still not sure I like them though. I got the lace up ones recently and they were a bit loose as they arrived so I tightened the laces for a more secure fit. This is great but makes them more difficult to 'slip in'. I have one of the first pairs they did, just plain which I keep near the door for popping on to go to the shop over the road or out to the car, but I like to have a bit more support when walking any distance. For anyone who just likes slip on shoes they are ideal as the heel no longer gets squashed putting them on.

That’s really helpful, thank you, and thanks for the extra detail.

I bought some slip-ins for the ex for Christmas last year but ordered them direct from Skechers as I had a discount voucher to use. He’s usually a size 9 but he asked for size 8.5. Thankfully they’re a perfect fit which meant I didn’t have the hassle of having to return them.
