i have heard with my own ears RJ slagging off JB at least 3 times today. this has included the size of the TSV hydrangea in comparison to JB's head (implication was that JB's head was much bigger then the 18" flora - Jill Franks nearly pissed herself) plus various other insults.

i get the impression that RJ doesnt like JB, previously this has led to the removal of the lesser presenters. RJ needs to watch out or he will be removed as JB is clearly big bucks for Le Q.

And lets hope it isnt the case this time as we all love Richard... dont we?

I get the impression that despite his popularity with joe public, Mister Julian Ballantyne is not that well liked at QVC Towers.

big head.

I remeber RJ say saomthing about a plant being a greedy feeder and said it was like JB.

I think he was just joking as JB has quite a good sense of humour.

JB didnt have a good sense of humour when a previous technology presenter referred to him being a piss-head when he didnt turn in for a show (in so many words). the technology presenter was never seen again.

I rarely watch the gardening shows but I did see a bit of the morning show today. I also rarely see JB other than on the morning show although I do like him. I thought this morning that he was a good double act with Kathy and there appeared to be a good and genuine rapport. He was very sweet when Kathy said she would really prefer a bigger size in the top she was wearing.

I also saw a bit of the RJ/JB double act and although the banter was quite acidic at times, it seemed to me that it was good natured and each gave as good as the other.

Which presenter was that?

:sun::sun:I cannot imagine a more likeable, genuine, self-effacing bloke than Julian. He loves all that blokey banter. He's got a really good sense of humour as has Richard Jackson who always takes it on the chin when he's referred to as a garden gnome. It's all very good natured IMHO.

exactly my thoughts, just harmless banter plus I don't think their that unprofessional to be soo rude to one another on the tv, by airing their dirties.

I have always gleaned the impression that Richard and Julian are good friends who can give and take, in fact thrive on, a bit of mickey-taking. Why would the planners schedule them for so many shows together if they were such adversaries? Julian is the presenter who does the majority of shows with Richard and, if he was averse to doing this, I think he would not allow the powers that be to assign him so many shows with him.
I can honestly say I cannot understand how the OP has got this impression.

I can honestly say that THAT was news to me. :wonder:

And has (almost) put me off my smoked salmon, Philadelphia and cucumber bagel (YUM!).

I've got a soft spot for RJ - at the end of my garden! Never mind AV, let's give the country a referendum on whether or not to bury him along with his roots. I don't think RJ's banter with JB was nasty but I still can't stand the little weed. Julian's great and won't have 'owt said about 'im.

Your "lady" garden? :cheeky:

:smirk:

I'm hoping it will end in on-air fisticuffs - then maybe they'll both be given the boot :hi:

Unless biology changed last night, I ain't no lady ;) *laughs* I think the idea has put my off my lunch!

Wow: I always thought you were! :wonder:

Just so we're on the same page: does that mean you're a man, or a filthy slapper?

Or maybe both?

I hadn't noticed anything negative between them. I do love Julian so I don't want to see him go, even if he did sit on RJ in temper.

I did wonder where Tim Goodwin had gone, so thanks to StratoBuddy for revealing that one! Pity the vid isn't on Youtube :giggle:

Tim Goodwin was on another shopping channel after he left QVC. Didn't last long there. Not sure if the channel closed or he got the push?

Claudia did the tech shows long before Tim Goodwin.

Maybe somebody in management at QVC deemed the comment inappropriate/unprofessional and took action rather than JB himself complaining.

It is only banter. Julian said yesterday that Richard was his favourite guest.
