The good Duke clearly hit a raw nerve with the superb use of humour to highlight some of the unethical methods many of us feel are used on IW.
I can't help feeling someone will be delighted to have silenced Duke.

The danger is that person will be emboldened, and I mean emboldened, by that and go for others.

Floor Manager kept sending Direct Messages. I thought they were trying to get us to be mean, when in truth we don’t want to be. As I said before, I want a profitable, healthy and ethical IW. One I can watch and not feel disgusted by.

Dirty Peter tried everything he had but it's clear the Traser is in the "Gammon" section of the warehouse - can't shift them.

Among the porkies I heard was "If you ask anyone in Switzerland, especially a watchmaker, what the go-to watch brand is for them, they'd most likely say Traser".
And "this is PROBABLY the most elite time piece PROBABLY made in Switzerland".

And he started with "this watch 100% sold out last night." Then opened a box and pulled out the same one covered with his dirty finger prints.

It's his favourite watch brand.

You have to wonder if they realise how contradictory and if we're being honest, stupid, their sales patter comes across in scenarios like this. On the one hand, they tell us they have limited sometimes very limited stock of these items (not just watches.) They also go to great lengths to tell us how in demand these items are and how they're being snapped up by viewers.

So ...

If that were even remotely true, the situation wouldn't arise of having other shows selling the same item the next day, and the next day, and the next day ...

By conclusion, it's mistruths and lies. Comes back to what we always say, they'd get away with it if viewers were only dipping in every other month or so for a few mins. For anyone who watches even just a bit longer, their games are laid bare for all to see.

I got an approach saying ask me anything, so I asked what a presenter was like off camera. Got a very vague comment that didn't actually say anything. I didn't want to engage further and got no more messages. I couldn't work out at the time what their motivation was.

They sent me a few silly misspelt messages but nothing of any substance. (s)he did, however respond to a forum post privately to tell me that Sally "was fit" and has "huge knockers". You don't need to work with a person to have an opinion on that.

Yes ask me anything and then saying nothing. As you say what was the motivation? Anyway between messaging people which was becoming harassment and obscene photo that was them gone!!!

Went to see my Doctor yesterday. She referred me to the Mental Heath team as a URGENT case, got a text this morning, saying phone us urgently what I done, and I have to wait until Week Beginning 3rd of March, for a assessment what a joke

Yes, that's not good. I would have been very worried if I got a message saying call us urgently! I am the sort of person who thinks the worst about everything so I would have panicked. Hope things are OK until then x
