I thought IW was laughable but the chap on screen now is comparing a Jadeite bangle that they are selling for £600 to another one that cost £12 million!

I had to check. I thought you were on about Gemporia and the ever-loved DT. No idea why the gloves: are they antique pieces? I do declare. Both TJC and Gemporia and selling, as I write, natural yellow jade pendants.

Serious question to the experts:
As I know less than f**k all about watches why are these watches (Duchamp) not what they appear to be?
I mean Mike says they are Swiss made with a Swiss movement which to me sounds like heirloom pieces…. I don’t want one but would appreciate an explanation please. Only for my curious mind.

Nothing wrong with the watches at the right price.

The problem is with the brand and IW sales tactic. The brand pretend to have Swiss Origins, they don't, they started 4 years ago in Woking.

They are not a watchmaking brand, they don't even design the watches, just a couple of folks in an office in the UK getting their watches from an Independent watchmaker in Mendrisio.

This is a picture from Duchamp web site of the facility in Mendrisio where they calim the brand originated before moving to the UK, kinda infers it's their facility or they are/were based there (none of it is true).

The watchmaker they order their watches from have facilities in Switzerland and The Far East, some of Duchamp watches are Swiss Made but about half their range is made in the Far East.

Their RRPs are fictious nonsense, bear absolutely no relevance to the quality of the watches they are selling.

The Audace is just a copy of a Roamer watch (made in the same facility) with Duchamp branding, Roamer Primeline, Audace has an RRP of £3000, Primeline has a RRP of £700.
Roamer a Swiss brand have a history & Heritage dating back to 1888, Dechamp is 4 year old UK brand.

I suppose that's why their facebook, twitter, instagram pages are so far behind, their one and only social media kid spends their whole day on here keeping a check on us.

Clearly dear old Front Privates Knowles’s well-meant price comparisons recent intervention with ‘der Management’ to look at sourcing any used, fell on deaf ears. Same old/Same old this evening. A heated gilet UNSOURCED price comparison showing one at £97 to their £40 one, which to my eyes doesn’t look like it would last very long quality wise. Surprising they didn’t visit Regatta’s website to compare. After all, the previous Ideal World used to sell their goods. Oh…Perhaps not…A much better looking quality one there for £39.99. The exact same amount they are charging for their unbranded one. There genuinely is no hope for them over the price comparisons issue.
