Found this on Great British Presenters
Natalia Ferrara
Her expertise ranges from hosting motivational speaking public events, beauty, travel, fashion and lifestyle programs. “If you are looking for a presenter with a twist of Kate Middleton's elegance, Oprah's empathy and Nigella's fiery passion then Natalia is the one to book.
Talent such as this is wasted at IW.
Can you imagine her turning up to give a motivational speech? What would it be about? How to have extensive facial “improvements” and end up looking like a fish lipped gargoyle? How to rip off gullible customers into buying expensive electrical beauty products to get same look as her?

More like the elegance of Kermit the Frog, empathy of Freddie Kruger and fiery passion of Chef Mark.

Poor woman is disillusional.

On my way back from a day out in London, so sadly I will miss Pete’s Masterclass in Shopping Telly. I did see Andy Hodgeson on TJC this morning with Pete’s Vibroplate. You’d never believe that it was the same item Pete was attempting to flog last night. Amazing what a bit of prep can do for you. They sold 78 this morning, and no one shamed into checking their baskets out. I’d love to know how many IW sold.

I saw that too. Andy Hodgson is very good at what he does. He always seems to know the products inside out and will happily say if they are "cheap and cheerful".

I have a duo for you. Duo the first. I've asked this, in variation (I think), on my other main forum here (Gemporia), so I will ask here too. In the old days, I used to 'be' QVC, only watching IW: never buying (as now ;) ) But, has anyone got a good word for IW? Aka, it's produce? We all know 'most' of the presenters leave a lot to be desired (the second part of my duo). But, considering IW has had two ownerships, was one better or both as bad as? If I recall, the 'original' IW seemed better than its TJC offshoot.

And Duo the second. Do you think shopping channels in general should have presenters who actually have selling experience, rather than just ex actors and "comedians" (I used that term loosely for some channels). Don't you need a presenter who is more than just a waffler or autocue-er?

I have bought stuff from old IW and new IW. To be fair I have been happy with pretty much everything I have bought. But they have only been small and cheap things that were fairly disposable anyway. I've always received the items quickly and never had to return anything.
The presenters on new IW (in my opinion) are the worst of all of the channels. Most of the presenters on other channels at least appear to have done some research on their products whereas I have no confidence that the new IW presenters have done much preparation at all. If I am going to buy anything, I do my own research into the products first. I'm not sure they need to have a lifetime of selling experience to do the job, but some training might help some of them, although some of them appear beyond any help!! 😀

Wonder what he’s going to be flogging tonight. I’ll put my Mystic Meg head on and say it will be
Best ever cordless vacuum
Genuine leather bag inspired by a world renowned designer
Bamboo bedding
and last but not least a watch
🤣🤣
I think,no I am certain , that tonight he will be flogging a dead one of these..

Own research is a must: regardless of the presenter / presentation. And those 'good' presenters who advocate doing your own research aren't doing it 'for you', but to cover their own backs. And not a lifetime of selling, but definitely some training and at the least knowledge of what they are selling. Even if it's 'I'm not 100% sure of, but......' Admitting lack of knowledge might encourage 'self-research' and therefore help everyone ;)

They've over-allocated on speakers and pepper grinders, claims Pedro - it's a wonder his nose isn't smacking off the camera.

He's imploring, Jane, Hilary and Davide to check out on a Homesmart heater or they'll miss out - down to the last four.

We'll see them again tomorrow  You just know we will
Call me stupid, but I never understand the term over allocated. Why don't they just say, it's sold out? You have 100 'x' and 101 want it. Implication being, 100 sold out, 1 missed out.
