That was the first series of Blackadder, I see Brian Blessed was his usual, restrained self🤣

And Quality Street was good enough when I was a child, but my taste buds are a tad more sophisticated these days!

I have roughly 1.5kg of Quality Street in the house, mind you it did work out at less than a £5 a kilo, but no flexis.

Have a sleekster box of Hotel Chocolat Everything open for those times when nothing else will do the trick. Unopened a small H box of same and a Seriously Dark H box.

Just this week I picked up a Everything Sleekster Luxe as I was picking some up for a colleague. Five in total he's bought this week.

It’s me being daft.

It’s around Christmas and New Year, when I think about stuff like if I hadn’t become disabled I’d be out partying, not watching IW.
You're not daft, times like these can bring out buried emotions, maybe people we've lost or make us realise our lives haven't turned out how we planned.

There's a lot of pressure around Christmas to be 'perfect', yet I know people who are not looking forward to it, usually due to family issues.

And the benefit of you watching IW is that you found this forum and you can have a laugh with us!

Partying is overrated, a lot of young people these days are staying in. I can't be bothered getting made up and doing my hair now. I always feel down on New year's eve, remembering times past, and friends and family who are no longer with us.

Plus there Is nothing on TV

I had a flick through the TV gude earlier, just the main channels mind and couldn't see anything I "needed" to watch. Set a couple of things to record to watch at a later date.

Decided to stream a film instead.

If I could not be bothered looking around then BBC2 from 10.45 might have beckoned as its Beetlejuice followed by The Rocky Horror Picture Show until nearly 2am.

I'm not one for New Year's Eve either for the same reason. I stay up to watch the fireworks then go straight to bed.

I listened to the audiobook of A Christmas Carol this evening, Patrick Stewart was doing all the voices, I really enjoyed it. I often can't find anything to watch on TV so I read a lot and have background music.

Can't remember when I last read a book, when I was younger I liked to read, but I think tech and other stuff took over.

The film was on yesterday with Patrick in the lead role.

A classic story indeed and I will watch the different film versions if they are on and I have nowt else pressing to do.

Last bit of Christmas Eve IW I saw was Jezza flogging a Homesmart heater.

Guess what - conventional central heating is going to become obsolete, you can just heat one room with one of these tinpot heaters.
Not him, of course, he has kids and that means he has to "suck up" the cost.

I wonder if he read a secret report by Dr Pete van Volerattan?

Anyway, I've had a look under the Christmas tree......it could be....might be........yes, I might be getting my health future-proofed.....the present is the size of a tub of Emu Balm!!!!
That or socks again.
Fingers crossed 😋

Not only wishing you a Merry Christmas, good luck if you get something nice.

Does emu balm not make you frost resistant?

Same to you. No presents for me this time.

Need to order something for myself, usually do that, but didn't get around it to this year.
