I used to occasionally watch a full hour on the old IW. This current reincarnation not so much, well in fact not more than one minute. And then after about 30 seconds, I turn the sound off. It really makes me angry that they are targeting the older, more vulnerable audience especially with the garbage toted about the watch brands. To my mind they are in the same bracket as the scammers who cold call you to try and steal your money. What I dislike about him and all the others hawking these watches on Ideal World is the strongly implied ‘you are purchasing an investment’ tripe they peddle. Reinforced by the garbage coming out of his gob two nights running about the low price there, compared to the RRP being possible because of the hundreds of thousands of pounds the watch company saves on mainstream (i.e. people are actually watching) advertising. This is essentially conning those who accept what they are being told without question. Older people, say. People not very internet capable - maybe looking to buy a special gift for a grandson, and thinking they are giving him something that will appreciate for him in value at the same time. The truth is these are grossly inflated RRPs compared to manufacturing costs, set in place to give merchants the opportunity to offer the watches at fractions of that RRP. Creating, in turn, that false sense of great value to buy. What Morgan failed to mention is the voucher codes you can input on the Chumpywumpy website, and then get the same watch reduced to similar levels to what Ideal World is selling them for. What’s the YouTube average viewer count for the live feed? 10 people? Add in a pro-rata number for the various other media platforms and being generous…maybe a few thousand watching at any one time. Who in their right minds is going to say they are saving on a massive advertising campaign to get that as their reward? Equally, it isn’t exactly great for your brand exclusivity and kudos to endorse your near £2000 watches being offered for sale for a fifth of the price, is it? Like them saying Rolex is happy for them to advertise their watches to a couple of hundred people for 25% of the RRP.
Are watches in general even a good investment to make? Out of curiosity, rather than any need, I went to one of the main Internet watch buying companies (Subdial) and asked for a price to buy on my £3000 plus, two years old Tudor Black Bay watch. I got back an offer of £1600. What a fantastic return, not. That doesn’t sound like you’d do much better offering your Duchumpiato ‘investment piece’ either.

I usually tell the phone scammers to eff off. With IW I just turn off. Mind you I do shout a load of unladylike words at the IW shysters.
I often imagine some poor old soul who has fallen foul of these crooks and purchased a grandson an “heirloom” watch at great expense for a birthday/Christmas gift. Hopefully recipient has been able to show gratitude to the giver before shoving it in a drawer.
Sunday morning rant over.
I guess they are practicing what they preach and not reading the forum. If they did they'd have noticed that I pointed this out a little while ago, and done something about it?That miniature sewing machine is absolutely fabulous.
The little info box said it was Multi-Fuctional!
Wahhey. I'm surprised it's not being sold by Lovehoney.

What does clearance mean? Tw*t, no idea Paul please explain.
Damp bags now. Just said it’s freezing in his loft and any clothes being stored up there may be damp. If your loft is damp Paul that’s a problem. My loft is freezing too but it has plenty of ventilation too.
Paul, freezing doesn’t always mean damp

Thank youTop post.
I’m of an age when you had one watch. This was in the age when watches were wind up. I got a solid gold watch with a leather strap for passing my 11+ exam. Mum and Dad had saved up all year for it. Only needed the strap replacing occasionally. I still have and it still works. The only thing wrong with it is the dial has become discoloured. It’s 62 years old!And do younger people even wear traditional watches these days? Even the ladies I was away with last weekend (same age as me) don't wear them. I do partly out of habit and to avoid getting my phone out of my bag just to tell the time.
I guess if they do wear one its a Fitbit.
