Well, I just logged in ready for the watches, and read the obnoxious posts by that evil troll don't know who it was but hope, during his apparent short time here, the lady wasn't too upset. What a dicksplash. Anyway, back to the "Swiss" watches

I've only been with TUI, they were recommended to me by family. Smaller ships, under 2000 people, and they don't sail from Southampton, they fly you to Majorca or Corfu or somewhere like that and you pick the ship up there. It suits me because I'm on my own and they do the flight, coach transfer and the ship, all taken care off. They're not at the luxurious end of the market either and you don't have to dress mega smart in the evenings, that wouldn't suit me.

I've done the Canary Islands, Western Med a couple of months ago and doing Greek Islands next year. And I plan to do the Caribbean when I hit a landmark birthday in a couple of years. I've not gone with any other cruise companies and I'm working my way through their list!

I haven't been to many places in my life so going somewhere different each day suits me.

Touring on motorbikes sounds fun, you saw a lot of places in 2 weeks! For this year's cruise I went to Corsica, Italy (excursions to Rome and Florence), south of France and Barcelona.

For me sailing from Southampton or Portsmouth is ideal as both are only 30 minutes away. Can’t handle all the hanging around at airports. Feel seasick on the IOW or the Gosport ferries so a cruise is not for me. I know the modern cruise liners are fitted with stabilisers but I’m not very stable on dry land

Found Rod's whole act rather odd and distinctly unfunny.

I was never fond of his act either. I know emus can be vicious. Think it was here I mentioned my father when I was a child, but RH took it to the extreme. Having said that, in my first job, 'we' used to print the pads and stickers for Grotbags and her stage shows. (She of the spin off from Emu and Co.) My first boss knew her.

I think it’s a great pity that people of your calibre and your colleagues’ during the good days at the previous channel aren’t working on the new version. We might have a considerably better product if you all were. Unfortunately, I think the culture of the parent company brings the ‘you get what you deserve syndrome’. Good quality television, clearly, is not part of their desired business model. I certainly wouldn’t want to be working anywhere near the ‘Big Three’. Becque seems okay enough, but the rest….No thanks…

No problem, I prefer to talk about the better days. It's sad to see what the 'brand' has become - clearly they didn't buy the company ethos! Feel free to ask questions while I still have my memories, if you want!
