Not being one to overly worry about losing weight, but how can someone lose 3lb in one week? The last time I lost a lot of weight, it was something over 1 stone and change over a fortnight: and that was coz of the infamous lurgy that the world caught. Soon put it back on.

Never forget Billy Connolly fixing Rod with a glare after ‘Emu’ had attacked him (Emu aways seemed to go for the crotch, for some reason).
The Big Yin simply said ‘If he does that again, I’ll break his neck - and your arm’. Rod, wisely kept Emu rather quiet after that.
One of the Parkinson shows, if I remember….

I think it’s a great pity that people of your calibre and your colleagues’ during the good days at the previous channel aren’t working on the new version. We might have a considerably better product if you all were. Unfortunately, I think the culture of the parent company brings the ‘you get what you deserve syndrome’. Good quality television, clearly, is not part of their desired business model. I certainly wouldn’t want to be working anywhere near the ‘Big Three’. Becque seems okay enough, but the rest….No thanks…

I think I agree with a lot of that. Always here to answer questions of a wistful nature if you feel the urge!
