I did have a thought regarding the Prawn Cocktail earlier though if he eat it, and it went on his Sherpa
Completely forgot about that, going to watch from the beginning on the iPlayer. My dad was a child during the war, but he did get called up for National Service.I'm watching the Festival of Remembrance. Dad took part in the D Day landings, so I always remember him at this time of year.
That's very sad, and I can understand how he sometimes suffered from depression, its not just the physical scars that have an effect on health.Dad was very badly injured, and spent over a year in hospital. He was never in good health for the rest of his life, and suffered with depression at times. I suppose it would be called PTSD now. He passed away aged 65 in 1988. He was only 21 when he was injured.
I'm falling asleep reading this and imagining her voice. Off to my bed, good night all, don't have nightmares about PedroJust switched back to IW for a quick lookee and it’s Joanne selling Philips
batteri…… …ooh don’t know what happened. Out like a light just then..so there we are then all you insomniacs out there don’t waste money on yer bamboo pillows or weighted blankets etc etc.
Just a little of Joa…
if we mention IW we might get a discount, especially if the therapist bought one of their heaters. If we gather a few of us together we might find a therapist who will do a group booking for a good price
You're right, this is becoming increasingly common - is it because the newly-created Campaign for the Rights of Apparel Police (or CR&P, for short) have outlawed the use of plural terms? Does it disadvantage two trouser legs, when each should be treated as an individual? Answers on a postcard, please...Do not get me started on that. Sally Jacks is always selling 'a trouser'. If I was Queen of the World that would be a 50 year prison sentence (hard labour and no parole). I'm actually a very placid, liberal person but my personality changes when I watch even 10 seconds of this crowd!
When Pete said those immortal words 'So what do you want me to do?' I'm surprised nobody told him. (And what was that yellow 3-ply knitting wool doing on his head?)I meant to type Knock Knock, not Knock Out. Here's an example episode with Peter Simon dressed as Crocodile Dundee doing an appalling Aussie accent around the 15m mark:
No real help with the psychological effects then, either. It was assumed you just thought yourself lucky to have survived and get on with it. My Dad would never talk about the bad times, just the funny things (especially if it involved an officer making himself look a bit silly), but he lost several good friends. That's very sad, and I can understand how he sometimes suffered from depression, its not just the physical scars that have an effect on health.
