He was also clearly ‘confused’ this morning, saying he launched two candles last night for £17.98, when he was actually doing exactly the same offer - Three for £9.99.

When it's items like this, one off show rather than multiple MB products & regular shows (like say when Elizabeth Grant was on IW), IMO it's more likely stock from wholesalers/suppliers who've had orders cancelled or too much stock and wanting to offload items.

This is quite an interesting article. The company is being pulled up for sales practices such as countdown clocks and high demand prompts.

MMmmm. I wonder what other retailers use similar tactics?

The competition watchdog said Emma has failed to make the changes to its sales tactics that it required.

Hmm, just wait until they look into all those watch brands with high RRPs yet perennially discounted with countdown clock offers…

…or most of what TJC and IW sell which never comes to air at the supposed “regular price” yet but we’re told it does

Pedro today tellling us the candles sold at a higher price last night despite them actually being sold at the same discount price as tonight - it’s always the discount price is new, wrong, limited time, once it’s gone it’s gone, last chance, don’t dilly or dally you have been so advised, multi-buy,

The clear horrendous lie/‘clerical error’ about the candles being sold hours previously by the same person for significantly more and for one candle less, when that never happened, was the worst sales transgressions I have heard the new version - even by their ridiculously low standards of candour. This particular scenario shows things are out of control with no fears of any repercussions whatsoever, whatever they do or say.
