Do you notice they don't demo the power strip actually powering anything when it's not plugged into the mains, that's because it can't. Jessie is giving the impression that you can't plug stuff into it when it's not plugged into the mains. No way can that thing run any electrical appliance without it being plug in to the mains. The only things that will work when it's not plugged in is the light and the USB sockets. Oh and 1000 w isn't it's output, that's it's rating, meaning you can only plug in appliance/s 1000w or under, most decent extension leads will allow upto 3500w.
