Selling right to the very end. Never told the customers anything was wrong. 275 people lose their jobs and he bounces back working the next day.
Does this mean they knew more than they were letting on, unless he only got asked to cover within the last 24 hours, he knew what was going on, which would have meant the rest did, and they didn’t mind making 95% of the viewers thinking nowt was wrong

And another Q.

Few years back, ne of the old QVC presenters, Julian Ballantyne, moved to IW. Did a whole piece about excited to move, meeting new people, change is interesting, learning the ropes at IW, etc.

He did a few shows then disappeared!

Was he sacked, left or what?

Where'd he go? And where is he now?
He set up a craft channel with Debbie Greenwood. It didn’t last. Don’t know where he is now.

Staff must have an idea that IW were in trouble, probably weren't expecting such a quick shut down, but the they must have feared something with the weird schedule during the last week.

Shaun is a strange one as unlike most of the presenters he (and Den) wasn't freelance so unless he knew in advance he was being made redundant yesterday morning, then he's had less than 24 hours to go freelance and get a gig, which seems pretty fast.

So they were IW Employees

So they were IW Employees

They are the only two regular presenters not mentioned as creditors from the old Ideal Shopping Direct, so assuming they are/were IW employees rather than freelance. IW employees don't feature individually on the creditors list like the freelance presenters/expert guests/models did. Plus Den mentioned during one of the pension shows how they managed gave her advice so she was able to cut her hours from 40 to 20 hours a week, which sounds like going from full time to part time employee.

Could be wrong though.

Absolutely disgraceful !
I hope some of the 275 watched him tonight,no thought for others who lost their jobs yesterday.

he could maybe have left it a week or two for the dust to settle but then again those bills won't pay themselves and his cv sounds pretty limited.

How many can you name and what became of them?
