Just looking at the 'customer testimonials' VT for My Pillow.
Not only are all the 'customers' actors reading from a script , but they all have dubbed on voices from other actors known as voice artists,
Most tv ads do the same thing - when you see a model saying 'Because I'm worth it ' or whatever , it's never her voice that you are hearing.

Mason, who is a man not made of money and half a century old…selling a defunct Samsung phone. He is excited for us…We will be elated.. Here comes Peter playing a technical expert. “You can turn yourself into an emoji,” says Mason. He should know… Doesn’t he work with a living one called Crawley??
These refurbished phones can be bought in lots of places from as little as £141 but average price £150, so much cheaper than IW.

I watched that Mobile Phone show but I gave up, rather than going through all the technical stuff, It was two jerks messing around with emojis.

This morning had Create and Craft on they were selling glitter glue, and they went to the website to show you what else they had on the show, Jodie the guest said it looks like it’s a bottle of medicine the way it was positioned.

Dan the presenter replied with, it’s not that bad, you should see the rubbish that IW sell via the Marketplace

Did Peter point the temperature gun at the phone?

The way IW and Create and Craft do the guests is different, on Create and Craft, bar Dawn Wheeler who guests, and occasionally presents, when they need a last minute presenter, or Stephanie Weightman, who owns a few of the brands they show, and will often present those shows, but she was orginally a presenter.

But the rest of the experts actually come from the company.

But I guess it’s not worth somebody from Samsung going there just for 45 minutes

It's not Samsung that are selling to IW, It's AzTech, Samsung would rather you bought one of their new phones not a second hand one from a telly shopping channel. ;)

Why the difference in presenting (con tactics) is easy to explain, IW is geared for the dumb masses easily conned, Create and Craft is geared for the knowledgeable craft oriented viewers.

Create and Craft is entirely different to IW, the type of viewers each will attract is entirely different, ok may be the odd exceptions/cross over, but on the whole the viewers will be like chalk and cheese, IW is geared for and will attract the general/non specific viewers, which is made up from all sorts, many will have little knowledge of what they are buying and have no idea if it's a bargain or quality, and so will be easily conned, Create and Craft on the other hand, will attract mostly a certain type of viewer, craft oriented people who will be knowledgeable and know what they are looking for/at and what create and craft are selling, they'll know if it's good value & quality, and they won't be easily conned.

How DARE you!!!

Whether it's the guy that remotes in from Spain to extol the benefits of CDB
or
Sally extolling the benefits of collagen tablets
or
Peter V extolling the benefits of heaters, smart phones, vacuums, garden furniture, snore thingies

I believe EVERY WORD these HIGHLY TRAINED EXPERTS tell me!!!

;)

That's me just off the phone to the organiser of COP26, the UN climate change conference taking place in Glasgow this year.

I advised them of all the amazing work Peter V does to tackle climate change with his temperature gun & ceramic tile demo.

They agree that it's crucial for all attendees to see this demo. Peter will be contacted and offered the top demonstration slot. Such is the importance of his work, he'll also receive £100,000 for his time and a knighthood.

How dare any of you lot criticise my best friend. That 100 grand will go on at least 5 watches, a basket and a couple of tins of bitumen, of which roofix is better, but petey is being a right arse at the minute, probably because I haven't checked out my basket with an horology piece for him. I said look, you're getting 100 grand, but one yourself, then gen began screeching, so I left them to it. I think it's because of his wileyfox has given up the ghost.

Not supposed to say this, but we are getting him an iphone 7 for the holidays.

Crafters are a pretty skilled and knowledgeable community. I think that to sell effectively to them, you need to know your stuff, and how to demonstrate it effectively. I guess that’s why they use a higher proportion of ‘real’ experts. On IW, they specialise in goods with ‘bling’ - a lot of it is simply stuff that weighs a lot and is shiny, often to be sold to an almost captive audience of those unable to get to the shops or too unsure of the technical side of internet shopping. That just needs a friendly face (and an ability to not worry too much about selling poorly made goods as ‘heirlooms’.)
The two different audiences are, I think, the reason for the two different approaches.
There‘s a lot more honour, in my opinion, in the C&C approach.

Sorry - I can now see that Hammy also said something similar. I was too late to delete!

Who the hell is buying that PRO drone at £160, a 1 minute eBay search and similar drones with all the same features are not £700/800/900 as dire mire suggests but between £35-60 including extra batteries.

As has been said before on here the true price of many items this con artist channel sell is usually the price of one flexi-pay.

Ages ago I bought a drone of Amazon for £40 which is better than Dires.

Find it hard to understand why the big toy shop in London, sells his stuff when surely isn’t the store meant to be upmarket, but as they have Richard as a employer who knows.
