Only bit of Wing Commander Knowles I saw, he was selling a foot hot water bottle thing.
He said he would normally just put down a towel to keep his feet warm in his freezing hovel. These IW folk really do have a tough time at home - apart from Foghorn, who gets OK Magazine desperate for a glimpse inside.

Now Jezza selling bath mats! People are multi-buying.

And they've just "found" an EON watch, which he's about to hype up.

Christmas Day may be different in most places, but same nonsense on IW.

PS. I didn't get the Emu Balm, maybe it will be on a clearance price in the New Year sale
Haven't watched much today, missed Group Captain, see Jezza on earlier.
I can't do him vile tw*t.

He does come over on there as a) extraordinarily unpleasant and b) incredibly stupid. Perhaps he holds the role and his target audience in complete contempt, and behaves in this manner because of it? You suspect that away from doing this, he is a completely different person from the one he presents himself as, and living a rather cultured middle class existence. Then again, aren’t most of them on there pretending to be something they are not on-air? Behaving like fools but going home to nice houses and comfortable lives because of it.

While channel searching yesterday I found a Children’s Show he was in on the CBBC channel, The show was dated 2019, and had run for years, I guess Covid stopped it, as it was live action.

I guess Jeremy found it hard getting acting work again, Also in 2019, one of the young actresses on the show, Died by misadventure, and was found hanging in a garage.

Not saying that excuses him with his tactics, But you never know what issues people have

Spent Christmas at partner’s. She has a big friends and family network. Unlike me who has nobody outside of our relationship. Very little TV. Lots of food and alcohol, though. I have spent previous Christmas years alone after my first marriage ended and got by pretty well. Sometimes you crave for your own company. A living in two separate houses relationship offers that option. Ideal for me at this point in life. Hope everybody enjoyed the day. Thanks for making this forum such an enjoyable place to be.
Hope you enjoyed your day Duke. I didn't watch much TV either, watched Alex for a while, watched the Kings speech and Gavin and Stacey in the evening. I listened to Christmas music, some podcasts, I wasn't really in the mood for TV. I also ate too much but not a huge amount of booze, just a couple of glasses of wine.

Yes, thanks. I did enjoy it. We had my three dogs and my partner's brother's two dogs together at her house - along with six people. It became problematic as my Chihuahua was becoming aggressive with the other dogs. In the end, I had to walk him home to separate him from the disruptive atmosphere he was creating. Allowed me an hour to sit in my house with him, watch that idiot Edwards and have a break from people and the constant demands that brings. Went back on my own and much better and enjoyable atmosphere.

Hi all, glad to hear everyone seemed to have a nice Christmas Day. Didn’t get chance to get on the forum Christmas Eve as I was hosting yesterday for 6. Food prep and all that. Did flick on to IW after watching Gavin and Stacey to find Jezza prattling on about the Eon watches but didn’t take much notice as was a bit tipsy from the pornstar martini cocktails me and my mum had been making earlier in the evening. It’s my mum’s 80th birthday tomorrow and she’s just discovered cocktails 🤣

Oi!! My house isn’t a freezing hovel! That’s just the kids rooms and the bathroom. The rest of the house is quite nice! 😂.
But the bathroom floor is bloody cold. At least I have a Xmas suit to stand on now as I have been banned by my family to ever wear anything like that again on Tele…so it’s not just you guys giving me grief for the suit! 😊

Ha ha love that your mum has just discovered cocktails!!! Porn star martinis are lovely, I like mojitos as well and M&S cans are very nice, I could make my own but too lazy🤭. Hope the day wasn't too tiring with all the cooking, and hope your mum has a lovely birthday tomorrow.

I'm not apologising for the grief I gave you for the suit as you got off lightly from me with the Christmas jumpers in recent days😵‍💫🤣🤣🤣

Field Marshall Knowles: “Private Edwards..”
Privates Edwards: “Yes…Sahrrr..”
Knowles: “Edwards - Your Shopping Ammunition you fire at the QVC Germans…It misses the target each and every time and you are becoming a liability to the rest of the men and Colour Sergeant Simon.” “Edwards…you will face a glue gun firing squad at dawn (Bibby)…Pick your final evening meal, which Privates Chef Mark and Cook Remblance will prepare for you…
Edwards…One final request, Sir…Can I be shot before dinner?…

How’s everybody’s Boxing Day, we’ve had cold meat and pickle and Salad.

And Frozen Mash which was totally gross do not buy

I find a lot of dishes with ready done mash are not that nice. Just too squidgy and not much flavour.

Think with the above I would have gone with some boiled salad potatoes or some of those microwaveable potatoes in herb butter.

Boxing Day morning collectiive dog walk with my partner’s family was on offer. I declined. I walk dogs for a living, and while I DO walk two of my three (the other is 17 years old and beyond long walks other than in a rucksack), a three miles plus route march at speed through Attenborough Nature Reserve on narrow paths full of people with the same idea, is too much like a Busman’s Holiday for me. Of course, her family see that as not being part of things and essentially antisocial. But if you are lucky enough to get there, you get to an age in life where magically, you begin to make some decisions to look after YOU and not to placate others - regardless of how they then see it. Boxing Day dinner with more of her family today. I should be grateful, as if I was on my own (as I would be but for her), that social requests like these would be virtually nonexistent. Strike that - they would completely nonexistent.

I don't blame you, no different to any other day and no fun if you can't all agree on the speed to move along at.

Same for me pretty much, can't recall ever eating Christmas/Boxing day lunch anywhere other than at home or at my sisters, even that is not easy now with the close to 200 miles between us. I was there a couple of years ago for a few days, house and bed was cold it was almost a relief to leave. Need to plan ahead if I get invited again.

Hot water belt, Sherpa blankets and portable heaters should do the trick. Wonder where you could source them from. 🤔🤔
