I'm gutted, I emailed QVC to ask them when the Prostrong hand cream was coming back in stock and they have replied saying it has been discontinued and will not be coming back.

I emailed Prostrong and they advised that there is no other stockist in the UK other than QVC....

Its the best hand cream I have ever used and the only one which truly helped my cracked and sore fingers...any ideas anybody for a replacement, but not L'occitane please, it makes me itch even more!

Many thanks!

Have you tried E Bay ? I like Liz Earles hand cream . I find it really soothing. :flower: :flower:

yep, been on my favourite auction site for some months now looking out for it but no luck. You can come across the handag size but its usually part of a kit which I don't want.

I've tried the majority of QVC brands over the years including the Liz Earle hand cream but there is something about prostrong which just works so brilliantly, it sinks in, no greasy feel, you can't wash it off and no smell or perfume to make me scratch.

I am truly, honestly peeved off that its no longer available in the UK...:heartbroke:

The best hand cream I have ever used has to be Aveda hand relief, not exactly cheap but worth every penny. It has saved my hands during the last few winters,it's not greasy and not too scented-the perfect hand cream.

Wonder what it is in the L'Occitane one you react to. What are the ingredients of the Pro-Strong one ? Does the replacement have to be a hand cream available on QVC ? Chances are that there's something similar out there that will do the job.

Not joking, I think this is what AY uses:

Barielle Professional Protective hand cream is developed for dry, chapped hands and was originally developed for women jockeys. Created therefore to care for hands constantly exposed to the harshest of elements and the demanding business of handling thoroughbreds, this cream protects, conditions and moisturises hands. It also contains a light screen for added protection.

I'm not sure what it is about the L'occitane hand cream that makes me itch, it just does. Having excema on my hands and cracked fingers, it tends to sit on my skin and not sink in and that can sometimes be worse than the dry skin by itself. I end up scratching it off! I really don't want to go back to using my steroid cream but before Prostrong, that was the only way I was able to keep my hands comfortable. I know its not good but I've had such sore hands at times I couldn't bend my fingers without them splitting and bleeding.

I have also been on ebay us but i was surprised to see very little prostrong on there given its an american product....I know its on QVC US frequently so no idea why there isn't much turn up on ebay.

I've done some research into another product called 'Gloves in a Bottle' which is not a cream as you know it but a shielding lotion which is supposed to stop moisture escaping from the skin by forming a waterproof barrier. I'm going to give it a go, its got some decent reviews on amazon and can be used on excema apparently....

I'll check out the barrielle and aveda though, no harm in that, thanks!

Have you ever tried crabtree and evelyn, I use the La Source handcream and find it brilliant
