Item 690 915 on air now - AAAA Tanzanite ring £2,912 plus p&p (you'd think they would have enough profi margin to absorb £4.95). A snip, now I know what to spend my Xmas present money on.

Bet Charlie has bought one and put it away for his daughter's 21st.

Slightly off topic, Gilly H is presenting the show and I thought I heard her describing a pendant as "pennant".

I recall all the hype years ago about how Tanzanite will only be around a short while, so rare...will it be the new diamond? sigh* I even bought a couple of items for investment :cheeky: Well, it is still around in all jewellers, maybe they found a bigger mine.

Could this ruby rhodonite be the ~new~ gem QVC have chosen to be their ~buy now or regret later~. I like it, but seems an awful lot of ££...and it looks like a cloudy ruby.

daydreamer

Rhodonite is usually a gorgeous deep raspberry colour, will say this must be a special that when heat treated turn more ruby red colour.

You know the add, "This is not just garnet its special QVC garnet."

QVC do love this old fashion style rings, you must have diamonds round it! I have two Rhodonite rings one in white gold and a single marquite(sp) yellow gold.

i always laugh when qvc sell south sea paerls for thousands of pound and put the £4.95 postage on. i wonder if they put it in a jiffy bag and send it second class ...

Yes, engagement style, so boring! They have no imagination.

I agree. It's too small & dainty for my taste - I like stonkers

So do I - as long as it does not have diamonds around it.
