Have we got a poltergeist? Over the last few days the following has happened.......
1. There was a loud noise from the bedroom when we were downstairs, as if some heavy items had fallen onto the floor and scattered. We rushed up, but there was no sign of anything!
2. We were in bed when there was a loud noise that seemed to come from the storage cupboard in the bedroom as if something had fallen onto the floor. Nothing was found......
3. Went into bathroom and sink hot tap was running, not just dripping, but earlier it was fully off........
4. Went into bathroom, and hot tap was running at quite a rate, yet an hour earlier it wasn't, and no one had touched it......
5. Today central heating wouldn't come on. I managed to fix this.........
6. Went into spare room and airing rack had fallen over. There was nothing on it, and it had been standing in the same place for 5 days.......
7. Went to run bath when we got up, not only was there no hot water, but there was no water at all in any hot tap.........
8. Rang our insurers to fix it, but the published number had changed, took about an hour online trying to find one that worked. Impossible to speak to anyone, had to speak to a robot.........
9. After an hour, it was working again, so tried to cancel callout. It was the robot again, so after I'd spent about 15 minutes saying yes and no to loads of questions, and listening to covid advice, I was put on hold for 58 minutes before a human answered.....
10. I've spotted some typos above, and FB refuses to let me edit them........
11. I was browsing on my iPad when suddenly, without me doing anything, everything became HUGE, so that the icon for an app almost filled the screen. I could not get out of this, and it was unusable, so I had to completely reboot to get back to norma This has never happened before during 10 years of owning this iPad!.....
12. I was sitting in lounge, Katie had popped out when I heard a few strange noises from the kitchen. Went to investigate, nothing that could make a noise was switched on, and no sign or sound of anything unusual.......
13. Katie wasn't well on Xmas day so had no breakfast or lunch, and just a miniscule portion of Christmas dinner.......
14. My Xmas present from Katie never turned up, the tracking email said it had been delivered, but definitely not to her house.......
15. We had the most frightening event at 2-05 am yesterday morning.
We were woken by a very loud crashing noise in the next bedroom.
A very large and heavy artist's easel had fallen over. It is never used nowadays as Katie has a smaller, lighter one.
The large one had been standing in the corner of the spare bedroom for many years, and had never fallen before.
