I have just returned a pretty set Morganite ring but with horrid diamonds.

Morganite , that I now hear Scott describe as Pink Emeralds , disgraceful .
I also listen Lyn tell her audience that Gems Tv Blue diamonds are natural and not treated and that we should trust her??? Trading standards ,where are you?

Anyway , at the Post Office returning my Morganite and the post office lady voluteeers that Coloured Rocks parcels are the most returned , lots everyday with customers always moaning about their purchase. ' How does a company survive so many returns ?' she asked.

Walked out the Post Office feeling flat, TJC QVC all turn their returns around so quickly and with Gems TV I will have to hold my breath for 30 days.

I want Rocks TV back, the company I loved to watch, got a bargin, brillant customer service and I , like many others was totally addicted to..................

one person very happy with all the hoo haaa - my bank manager is celebrating the decline in standards at coloured rocks! I am another who misses the old Rocks Tv - I am richer but me and mr dpd are not as well aquainted as we were. Shame all round really, but I think I am cured! - no more chat, no more fun, no more bargains - now boring, bad quality, poor service same old and nothing that marks them out as fresh and interesting. Just hope too many new customers dont believe the twaddle that is pedalled by the presenters.........................how sad all these comments from me, a previously dyed in the wool rocks tv fan who would have shot you down in flames for such comments 18 months ago - sorry yes - i was one of them - sorry!!!!

I think they must have all been on a course of 'How To Flog Anything Any Way You Possibly Can'. Just flicked over to Gems and saw Lynn selling a Zultanite ring at £229. Quote: "It hurts my heart to give it away at £229..." Firstly Lynn, you are got giving it away and secondly, being dumped, a loved one being ill, or losing a beloved pet hurts your heart, not selling somebody else's propery on tv at a price you 'perceive' to be too low! My word can she talk, she barely draws breath and what has she done to her fingers? Not content with paddles, she's now tangoed her knuckles as well. Can you tell that just about everything on there seems to irritate me at the moment? They are turning me into a grumpy old woman. I'm going back to the rugby.

Well, if you want it, here's some evidence that you may want to give to either the ASA or Trading Standards (forgive me if you already know this):-

1. Morganite is part of the Beryl family - which is the same family that Emeralds come from. However, Bixbite (also part of the Beryl family) is sometimes referred to as Pink or Red Emeralds. They are exceptionally rare in over 1ct AND the Wah Wah Mine in Utah where they come from has been closed for many years. So, to say that Morganite is a Pink Emerald is soooooo deceptive I can't tell you. The ONLY similarity between a Morganite and Emerald is that they are from the Beryl family. Morganites are not, and never have been, a pink Emerald. If Scott is saying that they are pink Emeralds, not only is he being deceptive he is actually inferring that they are another gem altogether.

2. The blue diamonds that GemsTV sell are not, and never have been, natural untreated diamonds. Natural untreated blue diamonds can be found but they command very high prices for very small carat weights. They will also nearly always be accompanied by a GIA laboratory report stating that they are natural. Sellers do this as routine because serious buyers demand them. The blue diamonds on GemsTV are either irradiated, HPHT, impregnated with coloured fillers, laser drilled or coated. They are natural diamonds that have had a tremendous amount of treatment to get the blue colour.

:headbang: This is just so wrong. We all know this (or at least anybody reading this forum will now know this) but average Joe Public won't. I wonder how many poor people buy from GemsTV and think they have bought an heirloom? Years ago, GemsTV had some natural gemstones, great deals and it was a million miles away from where they are now. Now, you may as well buy plastic jewellery (it would probably last longer and sparkle more).

How strange that something so addictive could quickly become so boring. Can this really be good business sense? Imagine if all the new customers had become addicted too. I am so reluctant to buy now it is unbelievable; especially after seeing Emma trying to flog a silver and ruby ring a few weeks back with a stone missing. When she realised, she put her finger over the hole!! I had only turned on for two minutes ,so you do wonder what has happened to their quality control. What a shame. I much prefer to look around antique fairs now. Yesterday I bought a platinum and diamond ring for £275. Now that is a bargain.

Just a couple of days ago, Carol was flogging a necklace that fell apart in her hands <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D4%252F4%255F18%255F7%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_18_7.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D4%252F4_18_7%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> xxxxxxxxxx

Good lord, was it a Tookalon piece? She seems to have been selling a heap of those recently!

There seem to a be a few pieces from the old Gems still on the website and I've had no problems with those pieces I've ordered since the changeover. So is it a problem with poor quality control or is it just that the jewellery produced in Thailand was better made? I have no idea.........

No - not Tooky. It may have been Viorelli or similar, a lot of chain with pearls and smokey quartz.
At least one thing they can't be accused of, and that's cherry picking for TV demo. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D26%252F26%255F27%255F1%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/26/26_27_1.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D26%252F26_27_1%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That says it all really!!

Ho Hum.......................Is there room on the GEMS TV wagon because I am jumping on board too?
Too many returns , settings not the quality they were, presenters not the same anymore, customer services like any other......indifferent and I am getting in big trouble with 'im indoors' for the length of time refunds take .
I agree with Wireless..........sorry that things have changed :(
