I just posted in the thread about the Elemis Bath Milk, and admitted about hiding some soaps from my other half. I felt so mean owning up to that.

Does anyone else hide some of your toiletries from your partners or family members?

It will be interesting to know

My OH wouldn't use anything of mine not even my toothpaste. Was on holiday last year with my step sister and sharing an appartment and apparently she was paranoid (other step sister told me who wasn't sharing with us) that I would use some of her toiletries. Never occured to me, but there was talk of a face cream (from other half sister) that cost £60 a pot (I would say that it wasn't making any difference miaow!). At the time I had zero interest in face creams but now I would probably have asked her what it was.

I don't share my shampoos. I use ojon, aveda but i buy my oh whatever shampoo is on offer. He has very short hair so I think he doesn't need the good stuff.

I do - my OH and DD get thru stuff like nobody's business! I've even stopped putting my ABC skinwash in the soap decanters as neither of them are able to manage with one pump, which is perfectly adequate to wash your hands - I only use half a pump to wash my face and four for a shower, they use that to wash hands and at £24 a litre (not forgetting the dreaded P & P!) I'd soon be bankrupt!

That reminds me when I got a TSV of SBC , I found the 1000 mls collagen bath gel going down very fast, I allowed him to use it, but it was going down rapidly, I found that he was using it to wash his hands and to shave:grin:
He said that it was better than shaving foam. So I let him have it for his sole use, after all I had far too many of the other stuff:giggle:

I love that collagen shower gel..no way would I let mine get his grubby mitts on it - it'd be gone in a week!

I don't hide, I just keep the good stuff in my bathroom and just buy his bathroom stuff from the supermarket  haha!

On the rare occassion that he uses the bath in my room, he will always call me and ask what he can use, bless him!

I also have two soaps beside the kitchen sink as he uses a full pump, sometimes two, of my L'Occitane liquid soap, so he has been instructed he only needs half a pump or use the Asda one!!! Aww, we're so selfish aren't we?!

Nah, I don't share, tis all MINE ...... but I do get robbed!

Little tikes!

I'm afraid I share nothing!! From my own toothpaste to shampoo, handwash, soaps etc. Everything's mine!!!! The philistines wouldn't appreciate my stuff anyway (one 17 year old son and OH) My daughter and guests are more than welcome to share as they appreciate it. I was willing to share the handwash until OH said the L'occitane had an unpleasant smell and LE was overpowering. So no more!!

Yes.

What's his is MINE, what's MINE is MINE as well.
It's the law.
I find it's easier to cut to the chase. Causes less arguments

Well it probably evenns out if you think about the £5k he's earning more than he TELLS you he's earning which gets spent on pointless gadgets, titty bars and the betting shop.

Mans prerogative! :muscle:

It was my elder daughter I had to watch. She would turn on the bath taps and then just grab the bubble bath bottle and pour in about a quarter of the bottle at a time. I know because I saw her do it.

I have always restricted myself to an inner capful of whatever I was using and in that way bubble bath lasts ages and ages. You just don't need more than that.

I caught a pot of a face cream in my ex's scuba diving gear once and I blew my top. The old lizard! The cheek of it, going diving in the salty, drying sea and then slapping of handfuls of "my" cream to try and repair the damage afterwards. Cheek of it.

No, there are some perks to living alone after all and one of them is knowing that your creams and potions are safe.

Lol.
He'd almost be exciting if he did any of that

And that redresses the balance does it? Mmmmmm! :mysmilie_10:

Gosh you're all very selfish aren't you?

Not 100% true BurlyBear, I let him use my Decleor, L'Occitane, Philosophy, SBC and even my Elemis Skin Nourising shower cream and the L'Occitane soaps,if he wants .... I only hide my Elemis Milk bath, and the Evelyn and Crabtree Jojoba soaps :giggle: Luckily he does not like my Elemis Frangipani Monoi moisture melt , otherwise I would hide that too:grin:

No my family use all my stuff.Although I wouldn't say I'm a QVC skincare junkie,I do love a lotion, potion, shampoo etc...it just means if we all use it,it gets used quicker and onto something else!!!

I also cannot bear waste.I'd rather things be used than they just sitting on a shelf.

Just been tyding my "Toiletry and cosmetics stash", and never ming my other

half i could let the street use it. HOARDER :wonder:
