One good thing about QVC

QVC has introduced us to the brilliant world of Lock and Lock. We have many items and have found more than the basic food uses for them. The quality is very good and the prices are great for how many you get in comparison to other retailers than stock them.

Apart from the fact that we've had to sent a few more things back recently than we've liked because they've been marked and dirty, and aside from their slow returns, QVC is great and we as a family like shopping with them.

I have had some fab things fron]m QVC, love, love love my slo cooker, Elemis TSV's. ditto L'occitane. Easy pays for these meant I could have a bit of luxury and afford it. Like Laura Geller stuff too, quite fond of Markon, had some red boots that were a total bargain and so comfy. It's just lately the things have been a bit rubbish. Also find the presenters funny, Jill Franks winds me up as does Jilly "go for" Halliday (i like to count how often she exhorts us to "go for" whatever marvel she is flogging). I admire how they can praise some of the totally vile fashion, I would not be able to keep a straight face at some of the gross stuff they have! Oh and I like Sharon the model, she is a class act

love sharon i see her quite a lot..she is very friendly and funny and will always stop for a chat she very elegantand sooooo tall and dresses fantastic casual but lovelt..she even sports a stetson.

joy looks at least 2 sizes smaller in real life very attractive also.

and ali who does a lot of the butler and wilson stuff...she is really stunning and tall..she has an amazing smile...and the bluest eyes.

"Ohmygod Joooooooy it's youououou! Hiyaaaaaa! whilst doing a demented little wave type move right next to my face that I don't think I've ever done before or since. (thank goodness!)

Joy just graciously nodded and smiled (and looked kind of amused!)

Honestly. If I'm like this when I meet Joy momentarily I must never on any account be allowed to meet anybody properly famous! I'd probably pee my pants!

I HAD to buy the TSV after that because I felt guilty for wrecking the show but strangely........not embarrassed :blush:

This is going to sound really sad but its like having friends in the house. I can't go out of the house unless I have someone with me (I suffer from anxiety and depression) so I am on my own in the house from 8.00am until around 6.00pm. QVC is on most of the time even if I'm not really watching it.

I also wouldn't have found this forum and all the lovely warm people on it:sun:

It also means that I can still buy Christmas and Birthday presents for my partner without him knowing what they are so it gives me a bit of independance in that respect.

Definitely a benefit!

And lots of us have QVC on "for company" honey so don't feel bad about it. I'm trying to wean myself off QVC and find a talk radio station that I like instead so I'm trying out Radio 4 at the moment.
