I didn’t download the app and, having heard that people are being pinged all the time, I’m glad that I didn’t. Unless it becomes mandatory to have the app (which it won’t) then I won’t be downloading it as I have no desire to go abroad, to a pub or to a restaurant. It’s too much of a faff.
Whatever Boris has said, I will also continue to wear a mask when I’m in shops etc, I’ll still keep a social distance from people I don’t know and I’ll continue to wash my hands thoroughly. Some may think I’m being over cautious but I think I’m being sensible and all my friends intend to do the same as me.
The infection rate is ramping up and I would rather not be infected by someone who’s wandering around in the same place that I am when they’re not wearing a mask. I do agree that the country should open up again but we should still be very careful or the past 16 months of being restricted will have been a total waste of time.
