I'm reasonably new to the bid channels - I'm yet to buy anything, but it's my go-to outlet when there's nothing else on
I'm sure regular viewers will recognise lots of things like this, but having watched for a few weeks some things really...I was going to say irritate me, maybe not irritating I just find them intriguing!
1. Before a night out last week, my mates and I had a shot every time Peter Simon says "not only". Does he realise he's saying it that much?
2. The blonde woman who's on in the early evening, why does she speak in one accent and then drop into a very "common" mon-ehhh?
ie
"I can't believe you're getting it for this kind of monEHHHHH"
3. Why do most of the presenters insist they're "cutting their losses" as though they aren't making a profit? Why would they be in business to lose money? And I know it's a selling technique, but I can tell from the name that appear so regularly that some people must watch all day, surely it winds them up?
4. I like how Peter Simon has multiple ways of selling - Shakespearean, where you'd think he's selling the Mona Lisa yet he's selling some £5 crystal. A toy that he says he adores when you can see behind his eyes he wants to stamp and stamp on it. Things that are "the hottest toy/clothes/perfume of the season yet you've never heard of them!
Despite all of this, I have a morbid fascination. :cheeky:
