New collector, how legit is gemporia?

Don’t the buyers of these items ever do any research?

The problem is, some of these customers believe the 'research' that the presenters and people like Troth tell them - and they believe every word of it. If Troth told them the sky was green, they'd believe it.

You only have to see some of the messages that viewers send it to see how gullible or deluded they are.

I think the viewers that know better ditched them years ago - and that's why Gemporia appear to be desperate to claw viewers/buyers back with things such as the 'refer a friend' scheme and other gimmicks they're doing on Gem Collector such as 'win £50' hours, etc.

The other thing with Gemporia..apart from their dodgy sales tactics, you get presenters like the Great El telling us how everything from Cashmere( which she said is ethically produced yet the "gallery of fools " couldnt confirm or deny...to freshwater pearls which are not ethically produced because a natural growth is ***** to add grit to it...are ethical......maybe people at gemporia from Jeff down need a lesson in ethics....but like our current govt, i don't think they care..as long as fools follow them.
The last government was worse.

I agree. All parties are the SAME, just with a different colour tie.

The three 'big' parties are anyway. The only different ones are the smaller parties - but there's more chance of me going to the moon tomorrow than any of those being elected due to the ridiculous and outdated 'first past the post' system - but that's a whole new debate for an entirely different forum lol

Temu, anyone?

Dear ShoppingTellyForum

Your recent post has been brought to our attention by our Brand Ambassador Ellis Ward (hello, Ellis) and we would like to correct some recent misinformation, in the spirit of the unbiased not-at-all-like-the-Khmer-Rouge service foisted on the licence fee payer known as BBC Verify.

We object strongly to the suggestion that our services are as limited as you describe.

Gemporia offers overpriced jewellery set in a range of metals, to a bare minimum standard, that also qualifies for only a six month warranty and not just the majority set in gold tone. Further, we would like to point out that, should you take advantage of our free re-sizing service, we don't guarantee our products for even six months. Our information hours, given by experts (hello, Ellis) are on a range of topics of interest to the modern day audience, including the popular "How To Cure Bunions with a quartz", "Angels exist and are available dyed from China" and other important gaslighting boddice-rippers such as "There are only six colours in the spectrum" and "Bamboo clothing is environmentally ethical" (https:clickforbullsheethere.com).

We look forward to you being taken advantage of in the future. Please accept our offer to apply a discount code of -50% on anything from our new shipment from China.

Warmest Regards

Jake (the peg, "treasure!")

So I’m really new to selly telly & Gemporia and just about to start getting into collecting. I came across it during an injury and boredom for weeks and was sucked in.
After making a purchase and then looking around the internet, I mostly saw praise, and then I came across this forum. I’ve been trying to look into more information about Gemporia, how legit things they sell are and how they are as a company.
So how legit is Gemporia? I enjoy watching the show because at times it is just erm… well bizzare and kinda funny, I’m in my late 20’s and it’s better than reality tv.
But what is going on with the pearls thing? They keep saying they are so rare and at first I was drawn in to all the information but now, I’ve realised… there’s pearls being sold for days how rare can they be right now? Also this is just personal opinion but they are really ugly. But they make it sound like pearls are going to run out forever or be the next diamond or something.
Which makes me question my purchase which was an opal ring (albeit not of higher price as I wanted to test out the channel first) but since buying it I have seen some super ugly (I assume dyed) bright coloured opals. Like even right now there’s a woman selling some blue crap.
So how legit is it to buy from here? Would it be worth purchasing else where? I am new to selly telly and whilst it is entertaining to watch for the amdram I don’t want to go into starting a collection which is mostly trash.
Gemporia is a legit company however if you see selling Quartzite Jade this is not Jade, Jade can loosely to stones that can be a carved, Quartzite is a stone in its own right and as the sirgest it's a type of Quartz this is in the hands of Trading Standards, also ignore bleaching is only cleaning the pearl bleaching is a treatment to whiten pearls not cleaning, always read the graphics to see what treatment a stone has been, to me they do have too many treated stones.
