Anyone else seen this Channel 5 tv program?
Featured Nina Taylor ex QVC Leighton Denny, Leighton and Jackie Kabler, plus an older model previously featured on some Q adverts.
Available on catch up.

Surprised George Clooney had a hand double for that coffee ad, I’d have thought his nails were meticulously manicured and skin buffed to perfection. I notice a lot of stars/celebs and royalty have very veiny hands prob due to pumping iron to keep their figures.

Yes,I watched it ....

I bet the title of the programme drew more viewers until they realised what it was actually about.

I must admit I was 'guilty' of that, especially given the fact of the program after this and the channels penchant for programs around the sex industry.

Yes, please forgive me, for I have sinned. Though having then watched it I surprised by how much hands can be worth!

Oh, I thought it was the title of Debbie Flint’s latest novel.

Andi. :mysmilie_19:

Just watched it and Jackie Gabler was on an old clip of Nina and Leighton making the hand job gaff, Gabler was on for a whopping three seconds. I noticed even then QVC wasn’t referred to, even at the end of the hour with the “OK Beauty Awards” with all the celebrity’s and beauty, still no mention of Alison/Young QVC, so QVC must be associated with shopping telly cheese and no one wants to be associated with that. :mysmilie_17:

It always 'amuses' me (yes I am sad), that Molten Brown use to be the 'big thing' at Christmas and the one that was really plugged and sold thousands upon thousands of units, then they left (because akin to a Soap Star there thought the 'grass was greener'), now they have come back and whilst they are once again popular, they aren't (I don't think) as popular as before, indeed it is the Elemis and even Liz Earle that gets 'pumped' heavily at Christmas now. How the 'mighty fall and meekly return'!

Channel 5 make many poor qualilty programmes imo. Hardly the beeb.

Several threads ago we discused hands & nails; some of us remembered articles about hand models who insured their hands for squillions. Nice hands are a must for me & I really have to look after my tissue paper nails, in fact I was so despondent yesterday when we went two-nil down I got out a crystal file & tidied up. I shall have a look at this programme, if only to see Nina & Leighton.

I watched the C5 programme 'Charles & Di, The Truth Behind Their Wedding' as my republican husband was on a climbing trip so I could wallow in my 1980s memories. I thought it was excellent & there were two things said that I hadn't heard before that made me really sad, good thing I only had the cat for company & he was asleep.

I think in Debbie Flints case you could drop the “Million” and still be 99p too much.

Get yours. Buy more than one, to gift to your granny, the lollipop lady, vicar, the Bobby on the beat (what's that ?). Sent out in 3-5 ####### working days in a plain brown wrapper.

(Sorry - if I've offended I will delete).

The problem was so many kept begging QVC to get MB back. Rumours they had to bend over backwards to get them to come back. Then people had a wake-up call the days of MB stuff being really cheap on QVC long gone! MB dictated the prices they were willing to sell at. I have noticed that the sets that are what is considered really good prices are stuff MB has discontinued and no doubt just wants rid of. The last TSV before MB left was just over £19 had three or four full-size bath/shower gels plus body lotion again full size plus some full-size skincare.

No apology necessary. :mysmilie_3:

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought naughty things.:mysmilie_17:

Boy, those were the days.

I had a set something like that from QVC with Silver Birch and Sensual Hanaleni items - not sure it was that cheap though?? I just came across it browsing tv channels and I think it must have been my first ever Q purchase. When would it have been?
