As mens Christmas jumpers go, I didn't think it was that bad.

At £54, there’s no chance of the man in my life being required to wear it.

As mens Christmas jumpers go, I didn't think it was that bad.

One with a light up gork would be close, but I don't think any man or boy wearing Will's jumper would make a good impression. It probably isn't selling well, so we'll be seeing all the male presenters wearing one.

Lifebuoy or Sunlight laundry soap. I don't know if those brands still exist. Scented soap was for girls (four in the house) and sissies (none in the house). He was always immaculately clean and smart, but always joked that he had a bath every 1st May whether he needed it or not.

Ah, the smell of Lifebuoy soap! I loved that smell and thinking of it takes me back. My Mum always bought it when we were kids (perhaps we were particularly grimy?). And always a little bottle of 4711 cologne in her handbag!

Bry has his own made-to-measure suit. One of a kind with no seams and very hard wearing! It's timeless!

We also used it for years. I wonder when it went off the market? The smell wasn't brilliant, but I always felt clean after using it, or maybe that's because I was a particularly grubby child. And I remember smelling of Lifebuoy while my schoolfriends smelled of scented soap.

Imperial Leather for us when we were kids. Sometimes we had Camay but that used to go slimy. Anyone remember Cadam? Advert was Cadam for Madam.

I remember Camay. Mum loved it but my dad like Imperial Leather so we all had to use it.

Pears was one I bought myself when I was a teen (the power of advertising!) but when I first visited my relatives in America and used my aunt's Dove I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

I still love Dove but have moved to the blue Pears when I can get it.

My male cousins used Dial (sweaty teens, it worked well), my female cousins liked Ivory or Caress (I suspect more advertising influence). I loved them all. The choice!

I love carbolic soap. It takes me back to my early comp school days when we had to scrub the old wooden dining boards in Home Economics. I wasn't quite as fond of washing the teacher's stockings as part of the lessons, though

You didn't need air freshener when you had a bar of Lifebuoy soap on the bath rack - it scented the whole bathroom! You're right, the smell stayed on your skin for ages, too.

Wow, thanks for that! I'm surprised it's still on the market after all these years and I wonder if it still smells the same. But I really don't want to give it another airing, thank you, clean though it is.

My aunt Peggy had Camay and I have said before I used to think she was posh! My aunt Margaret always had Imperial Leather soap or sometimes Lux.
