It was very nice to see Marla after such a long absence. She was a breath of fresh air. Hopefully sales will reflect her presence and we’ll see more of her. There was some confusion about size with Marla going up a size to get a bit more length. If you’re the designer you might have given that a bit more thought. Still at least it wasn’t a sack.

Not paying that price for something that needs an undergarment. Why not include a vest with it ?
If I remember rightly she charged about £40 for a vest so the price would be even more astronomical than it already is! It's an ok top and I can imagine it might be quite cooling to wear on a hot day, though I don't fancy the tan marks you'd get on your arms if you were out in the sun too long! I thought that the white one worn with a white vest top looked terrible - the chunk of white underneath just looked funny and the seams on the sleeves were too visible. Also some of them you could see that the vests were all bunched up underneath and that's not a good look either. Like you, I wouldn't be prepared to pay nearly £60 for a garment that's not ready to wear so as usual, it's a no from me.

Yes it’s very funny when she expects us to believe her range is fashionable and even funnier when she tell us the price. £57 ‘p&p’ included for the TSV is ridiculous. I’ve seen similar on markets stalls for nearer £20.
err i meant in the way she says things ect the crossover from american words to uk words the prices have nothing to do with her

I love the comments on here. I thought I was the only one who thought MW's prices were way beyond ridiculous.
And the garments do look like tents for the overweight "Big is Beautiful" crowd.

I watched the repeat this morning with MW herself.
Looks like she might have been hitting the "fat jab".

I wonder if she'll now be designing real clothes in realistic sizes?

I’m a member of the Big is Beautiful Brigade being extremely overweight myself. I wouldn’t wear any of her offerings even if they were a reasonable price. A lot of them emphasise rather than diminish. There are much better choices elsewhere at a cheaper price and designed specifically for larger ladies.

I saw a clip of MW a couple of years ago in which she said that she started making her own clothes "in her garage" because she couldn't find anything in the shops. In my experience stores in the US are stuffed with clothes catering for all shapes, sizes and tastes, at low cost.
As for the TSV, it's the first time I've seen a string vest with sleeves, so at least it's original.

Maybe in the 'colourway Canvas'. Or perhaps Cloud. Either way, Melissa will be wetting herself over some overpriced wafty giant bit of cloth suitable only for fat American housewives with money to burn.

One of the frustrating things I've noticed, pretty much everywhere, is if you see something you like, speaking as a small size, is much of the time, I've missed the boat because all the smaller sizes go quickly and they're left with all the bigger sizes on the rack. I don't know why they don't order more of the smaller sizes and less of the larger ones.

I've been quite big (for my height) and now quite small and I also find that if I like something (in Asda for instance) all the 8-14 are gone, whereas a few years ago all the 8s and 10s were being sold off cheap in the sale. No longer.

I've always been an XS in Marla no matter what size I am. I do have a couple of blouses of hers from when she first aired at QVC and they are still like new. Not sure if the quality is still the same.
