Yes, she seemed to lose her way a bit over the years - didn't she once do a collaboration with Take That (or somebody from Take That?) - maybe in an effort to bring herself back into the public eye to a new generation, but I don't think it really worked. Although I really like her versions of the 2 songs I mentioned, I can't say I was that keen on any of her others, and I found it somewhat 'desperate' and attention-seeking that she gave several interviews immediately following David Bowie's death, when she went on about them having once been lovers. OK, I'm sure DB's widow knew all there was to know about his past, but did Lulu really have to do that as soon as he was dead? Yes, talk about herself, her career and how she admired DB (or didn't), but keep it tasteful and dignified.

There were some high spots in her musical career, but her more recent efforts have not set the world alight... I wonder, if she'd been a man if it would have been the same story?

I watched the show and thoroughly enjoyed it even though I'm not an avid fan. I grew up with her in the 60s and people used to call me Lulu because we had similar looks and body stature, although I always pooh-poohed this. She certainly has done a lot more than I realised but was also held back a lot by contractual obligations. I just wish I had her energy now! What made me laugh was when they showed her at QVC in 2011 launching her skincare range, filming her behind the scenes. I don't know who chose the clips to use but Pippa was the one with her that night and got shown last night. I can imagine our resident beauty expert and make-up artist was foaming at the mouth that it wasn't her :D I wouldn't object to some of her cash either, she did admit she's made a fair bit of it!

and we still don't know Lulu's actual real name. ......

TAKE YOUR PICK................. Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie
Lulu Kennedy-Cairns,

nothing ordinary you understand, like Marie Watkins. Where the 'Kennedy-Cairns' came from is anyone's guess - couldn't be bothered to read her biography, unless Frieda is just a hairdressing name, and its John K-C.

Her names change like her accent......
