How does she dare flog her skincare saying its down to that why she looks like she does, when shes admitted in the past to having cosmetic surgery. I cant see how trading standards havent closed her down yet. However gd or bad her range is her skin doesnt look like that purely down to it, she could at least be honest with her customers. i find it shocking shes still on Qvc

Rant over :giggle:

The woman, and her brand, is a joke.

As for bringing some supposed guru along to extol the virtues of her mass produced pots of grease....laughable.

She looked rough too..

Yeah cant belive how bad her skin looks and thats ment to be with the new "Glow" lol and having debbie as the presenter is enough to put u off talk about hard sell :muscle:

I've only ever tried the cleanser (courtesy of T K Maxx) and it was no better or worse than anything else I've tried, but her hand cream always gets good reviews, I'll try that if I ever see it discounted anywhere! As to Lulu herself, I haven't seen her recently, but she's a year younger than me and tbh I don't think she looks that bad! Perhaps if you're twenty years younger you think she looks rough for 64 but I've seen worse!

As for the hard sell, well they all do it don't they, and as long as they continue to shift their product they'll keep right on doing it!

I think it's outrageous that QVC allows 'Dr Joe' to come on and give us all the science behind why our jaw sags as we get older and even suggest that a cream can do anything about that. As he says it's all down to the supporting structures and muscles and no cream will touch those.

I feel so strongly about this that I might even complain to them.

had a look at some of her stuff in john lewis and it looked ok. she has had surgery thats obvious but her skin looks good considering she is not wearing any makeup and is 64.odlly enough considering she is not a specialist skincare consultant her speil is a lot better than fiona or keeley..

Her hand cream is excellent BM, one of my fav handcreams full stop, non-greasy (but not strange & powdery like the Elemis one!), it smells of lavender (not overpowering & a fairly sharp scent rather than old lady!) & works extremely well on my hands to soften & counteract dryness, I would & could definitely recommend it! (Must've been a fluke that slipped through the tat net! lol)

Never tried any of her other stuff, never been tempted to. So confident in the hand cream though, I have previously dished it out as small gifts, something I hardly ever do with subjective smellies! lol

(If you want a truly fab handcream however, try Aveeno at half the price, available in Boots, it forms an effective water resistant barrier on your hands so you don't have to re-apply it constantly, as well as being non-greasy & lovely, kind & non-stinging on poor dry hands, even those that have reached the 'splits the size of the Grand Canyon'' or cracked parchment' stage!)

I actuall like her shampoo, suits my hair, and i tried the eye cream once, seems okay, much the same
as all the others, no better or worse, probably cheaper though

thank u Kitten...I might give it a whirl at proper price if you're that impressed..! I like lavender..NOT the "old lady" version, which makes me heave, but the sharp tang as you describe so that's a plus! I did try Aveeno on recommendation when I was suffering with bad dermatitis on my hands (along with stuff from doc) but at that time I wasn't too impressed..I'm always looking for a good hand cream tho, thinking of my nails & cuticles too, and one of the best I've found is the Aldi 5% urea one for a couple of quid - they don't always have it in tho  but if you've never tried that, it's well worth it at the price

Thanks for the info on the handcream - I'm always on the lookout for an effective one too so will give the Aveeno a try.

The best I've found so far is Crabtree & Evelyn - it is very rich but does disappear - unlike l'Occitane cream (not gel formula) which I find always leaves a residual grittiness that has to be washed off. Somewhat self-deafeating!

I recommended the Aveeno one to my daughter, who has ridiculously dry skin - she is training to be a hairdresser, so her hands take quite a hammering anyway, she loved the fact that she could put it on in the morning & it helped protect her hands until she got home, without having to keep re-applying it whenever she washed her hands!

I think I must be the only person in the world that hates the l'Occitane shea handcream - vile, lardy, greasy, takes an age to sink in & it wrecked my nails...by the time i realised what was causing the damage it was too late, took over a year to get them back to anything resembling normality!

I'll give the Aldi one a try too then BM! Ta!

No, Kitten, you're not - I can't stand any of the shea butter stuff - lardy is the perfect description! The only things I really like in their range are the rose scented soaps.

Imo Lulu looks amazing for her age. Considering she had no foundation on her skin looked fabulous. However... she has had work done and for that reason I'm out! I'm not against facelifts etc (I would have one tomorrow if I wasn't a big scaredy cat!!) but I just can't take her skin care range seriously when she's using herself as a template.

You better nab some of whatever they have left then, didn't Alexis say last night the rose soaps were being discontinued & only one sort would still be available, I'm sure she did?

Thanks for the tip off - I didn't see the show. Have put in an order - on waitlist - so hope I'm not too late. My first order via the new website and I've found something useful - the address book!! I have most things delivered to OH at work as there is always someone there to receive parcels but had to enter the same address every time. Welcome to the 21st century QVC!

Arrgghh, bloomin' QVC - I kid you not, I watched the video for the rose soaps (with Pipa as presenter) not 20 minutes ago, went back to get the item no./link for you as Alexis was burbling something on it about which/all rose soaps were being discontinued.....& the video's been taken down! How very bl**dy annoying!

I think the only thing Lulu had done in the past was botox, and she stopped it, but maybe someone could contradict me,
but i don't think she went the whole way to facelift
