on the topic of handcream, I have just started using some Crabtree and Evelyn stuff that I got free with a magazine ages ago and have been really impressed, sinks straight in and keeps my hands smooth. I have very dry hands that come the change in the season this time of year would be fit for sandpapering wood if I did not apply cream every time I wash them so I was impressed by the C and E one and think I will buy some.

I'm using Crabtree & Evelyn handcream at the minute and I do like it but I feel the need to apply it more regularly than some others I've been using recently. Prior to C&E I was using OPI Avoplex hand and nail cream and before than the Leighton Denny brightening one. Clarins is still my absolute favourite.

I do like L'Occitane handcreams but my least favourite is the Shea Butter. I prefer the lighter ones. I have both lavender and cherry blossom in my stash, along with a batch of C&E ones bought in the sale so I won't be buying for a while.

At her age and thinness no way could she have the firm jaw and hamster cheeks. She had been filled and lifted. Just look at her hands and neck area.

dunno, can't say yay or nay as to whether she's had surgery, but I'm only just starting to sag round the jaw at 65 and Lulu always did have those cheekbones..she used to say her Ma said she'd be glad of them one day and I expect she is!

just checked the QVC guide and discovered Lulu was on right now so had a peek - I don't think she looks bad! Hair's a bit messy and the style definitely wouldn't suit me, and I don't think she's wearing the right colours, BUT, her jawline and neck look like mine and I can swear on a stack of bibles that I definitely have not had any surgery!

Yes, but she was heavier in those days and much younger. The hamster cheeks are very in with older ladies and it makes them look younger. She is a size 6 or 8(this was the last interview, she also loves food and eats 3 meals a day:giggle:), in the old days she would have been a 12/14. Heavy smoker for most of her live too.

Lulu gave an interview and said ‘I agree with what Madonna once said: “I am not against cosmetic surgery; I am against talking about it.” enough said if u ask me if u hadnt had anything done why wouldnt u say so, Oh yeah course u have a skincare line u need to flog and uve had stuff done :giggle:

The best handcream ever is the Aveda one, expensive yes, but so worth it, it saves my hands every winter. Hate the awful L ' Occitanne one.

She has had a facelift.
I saw an interview, a few years ago, with a Harley Street plastic surgeon. He named several famous people that he'd given face lifts to & Lulu was one that he named specifically.

Another thumbs up for the handcream and I also liked the day cream when I tried it ages ago. It really did sink in quickly, I don't use it anymore as I mainly use Embryolisse these days. It doesn't bother me that she has had some surgery, if the skincare works for someone and they like it fair enough. I'm not going to judge because I'm sure I swear by something that other people think is ridiculous.

I've got those ****** chubby cheeks. I hated them in my teens, didn't like them much in my 20s and 30s but have to admit that in my 40s they are more welcome. They do give me a hint of youthfulness. At 50 they show bugger all sign of deflating any. I also have a good jawline. I can attribute the chubby cheeks to genes and a size 18 backside but my jawline defies my size 18 backside.

Whether she's had work or not, Lulu does have the kind of face that ages well. Pretty often ages better than beautiful.

had a look at some of her stuff in john lewis and it looked ok. she has had surgery thats obvious but her skin looks good considering she is not wearing any makeup and is 64.odlly enough considering she is not a specialist skincare consultant her speil is a lot better than fiona or keeley..
Boffy, are you sure she is not wearing make-up?

Saw Lulu this morning for a couple of minutes in the repeat show with Debbie & 'Dr Joe'.She just wouldn't shut up no-one could get a word in.I am not interested in 'her' products 2 things come to mind when I look at Lulu----Mutton & Lamb.

On the subject of handcreams the best I have used by far is Liz Earle's.

i wonder what Laura gella and bare essentials think about Lulu saying any powder make ups make ur skin look dry and dusty lol

I dont know what you fellow forumites think of the new product "miracle glo". cant say that I have been impressed with what it looked like on the model - made her look white and shiny! I am usually pretty torerant of most beauty shows but having heard about 3 of lulu's presentations today whilst I have been pottering I am starting to cringe when she bursts into song! Time to reach for the off button I think!!

Dr Joe is not happy being on TV. I think he'd rather be in the lab concocting some new facecream. He doesn't know what to do with his hands so he's been told to put them on his knees and keep them there.

Doesnt the new "Glo" product have to be applied on top of makeup so if she is wearing it she must have makeup on
