This might be a stupid question, but is it a leather bag? For all the rambling on screen and write up on the website I can't seem to find out??

And to Lulu Guinness enthusiasts, do these bags last? Are they heavy?

So tempted. I know some would never pay £300 for a bag, but I work hard for my money and will spend it on what I please!

i am the same as you, some might this i ridiculous that i spend so much on a bag or a piece of jewellery, but its my money i earn it and i'll spend it as i like... and yes its leather!

And yes, they last and last and last! I use mine - as opposed to admiring them and keeping for best. One I had, the extra large Jenny, wore at the corners (piping) and the handle, but it was used daily to carry laptop and folders. It's a bit worn now, but it still holds its own, and it kind of adds to the character!

Oh I am tempted by the navy now. And the black. And the stone!!

I've gone from not liking it, to ordering the red, to dithering about a 2nd one. From the sublime to the ridiculous!!

PS - yes it's definitely leather.

I wish there was still cheque hold too, I was thinking that last night. Great for us ditherers!!

Exactly! As long as you are not depriving your loved ones from the basics in life and not getting into debt cos you can't afford it, I say if you have the money and want it go for it. There are no pockets in a shroud.

A holiday would cost twice that for a fairly modest week away and it all over in 7 days. I don't know how much a pack of cigs are now but it wouldn't take much to mount up to the bag.

I would buy like a flash but they are too structured for my lifestyle but maybe one day I will get one in a sale as a trial run!

Oh no! That would be the road to ruin if I took to them!

Anyway, I hope they are all as good as you anticipate and health to wear and enjoy every single minute of owing them.

Go for it ....I'm just relieved i don't want them ....I see them The house Of Fraser sometimes ...not as often these days ...and I. Still not tempted ...don't get me wrong my hubby would not question me if I desperately wanted one ...but it would only be Christmas or birthday and even then I'd be wary of spending that ....I can actually get the money but it would pain me .....i like a bargain .....but I honestly would feel like a spoilt ...i know that if I bought one for the hell of it ....that is my opinion and I'm not judging anybody ....

Alison is making much of the 'have a look at the TSV (perhaps 2 in different colours?) that is £6.95 P&P each then somewhere in the region of £12:00+(each) to return and I think I am right the half price P&P is only if the 2nd item is identical to the first (so not a different colour). She is also pointing out the name label where it can be seen--- does anyone really notice or care?

It's all just words to them, I don't think they even realise that they are using the buy 2. Spiel for a £300 item in the same way as a £19.99 item. Robots the lot of them but at least the robots would get the "were calling this" colour correct.

That was all the convincing I needed, thanks guys - the stone pollyanna is now mine :mysmilie_8:

I shall be using it as my main handbag and will get a lot of enjoyment out of it!

I'm a firm believer that, as long as you can afford it and have enough for a rainy day, you should spend and enjoy the money that you work hard for. :mysmilie_59:

I'm hoping I can afford one of these one day. I would love to have one bag, and one bag only, I can use for work and I think a Lulu Guinness would be good as it.

When I count up the cost of the dozens of bags I have ranging from £5 to £200 yet none of them are quite "right". If I ever found the perfect bag it would work out much much cheaper in the long run.

But do you think the perfect bag exists?

Mind you "staggeringly cheap" according to Ali K is a ridiculous statement. Even the most devoted LG fan on here will admit they are not that. Grr, do they think we are total plonkers.

Great reading the comments from people getting enjoyment from their purchases, they have worked hard for their money and can spend it how they wish. £300 is not particularly expensive for a name brand quality handbag in any case.

I've just received my despatch email for the Indigo TSV. If it arrives tomorrow I'll be mightily impressed with the delivery time.

Freudian slip there, lovingallthingsitalian!!!

Wow!!! When did you order it? I have just started a thread about the whole 'in process' debacle. I may have to eat my words!!

I stayed strong and didn't order a 2nd one. Am shaking now though, ha ha!!

I ordered on the 15th at about half past 4 in the afternoon. I think TSVs (on the whole) are despatched more quickly than other orders. Whether it's because the TSV boxes are ear-marked for most of them to be sent withing 24 hours of the TSV day (I imagine a big pile of boxes near the warehouse door!) or possibly they know most first purchases are TSVs and they want to impress their new customers (I'm over-thinking this aren't I?).

It also helps that the LG bags are delivered by Hermes usually and they come quicker than Royal Mail deliveries.

I'm looking forward to it arriving.

Do let us know what you think of it Akimbo :) I think mine will take a few days as ordered late yesterday.

Lulu was telling Jackie, she put her hand over Anne's mouth, cos she was talking so much. Wish I'd seen it.
