I just had another look and this box does look very sturdy. Could’ve been tempted but no verbena so I’ll probably just buy a 500ml shower gel refill from Just My Look or Allbeauty.

I recorded a few of yesterdays's shows as I had no intention of buying the TSV but thought I might have bought something different.
The first thing I see is Alexis dressed like the lady at our old Debenhams beauty counter. Why is she decking herself out like that? Sorry, but rather than looking expensive and classy she looks rather tacky. Reminded me of the Beckhams in their Burberry (how to ruin a brand's image!).
The next thing I notice is her new look. Has she had fashion advice from Trinny? Sequinned flares and a velvet blazer in different colours with trainers. Nope. I think she needs a different stylist. Disco ball Debenhams lady is not a good look. Even for selly telly.
So I sat through all that dazzling display (after reaching for my sunglasses) and I still didn't see anything I wanted to buy!

Apparently the box is a drawer which will be great, I use these type of boxes for all sorts, tea lights, stationery, hair scrunchies etc but worryingly some of the reviews on QVC say the boxes were damaged and couldn't be gifted if that was their purposeI have a pile (or stash) of Loccy and MB boxes from previous purchases too. One is in the kitchen with all my facemasks from Covid. Like everything, I had to get a stash of those (from Etsy) too! I prefer them with a separate lid rather than the flip over magnetic closure though. £19 though!!!! Crikey.
- and it wasn't the outer packaging the boxes looked damaged before being put in. Not good at all

Just to say … I pushed back on Loccitane because of their delay to withdraw from Russia and I said that I would donate my Kipling soap the large liquid one to Charity and I did .. i took it to the British heart foundation a couple of weeks ago ago

Just watching a few minutes of L'Occitane (can only take the mins of Alexis, and what does she look like tonight!) Anyway, Ali Young currently flogging a £66 set. Apparently it's £60 for the fragrance alone! Wow, bargain , but hold on, just been on the website and it's EDT!! Not even perfume, and a measley 50ml. Plus a teeny tiny hand cream and two 250mls of shower gel and lotion. That does not scream bargain to me. I really dislike the way details like EDT are not discussed, to me it's deceiving the viewers. Ali Young just called it fragrance. Not impressed with anything about this brand.

I agree with you, on fragrance alone I learned many years ago in my 40s I would only buy perfume and Eau de Parfum, I still do the same, never from QVC.
Very stingy sizes. (The BA's top would look better if she didn't drag the neck over one shoulder.)
No perfume smells the same anymore partly because some of the older ingredients are from animals so most people would not buy them now. Back in the day perfumes cost quite a lot of money but they were better made with less chemicals.

Loads of ingredients in perfume have been banned over the years. And companies want to make more money, so cheapen the ingredients.
Sorry Boffy, I belong to two perfume forums and people ask where they can get real musk. It comes from the Musk Deer, which is endangered, and they have to kill the deer to get it. It was banned many years ago.
A large number of chemical ingredients banned by the EU in perfume as they may cause cancer. Even so-called natural perfumes have to have alcohol in them, or they will go off very, very quickly. Also, natural ingredients can also cause health problems.

I don’t mind Alexis too much but AY - no.
Yes, I got good tips from her in the deep and distant past. These days with her constant rabbiting on about all genders winds me up no end. When the Gifts for Men show was on I kept imagining her storming on to set screeching FOR ALL GENDERS and brandishing a banner with same wording.
AY managed to get a male model on the Judith Williams hour last night. Finally. Quite a hairy individual, he was. Jude was massaging cream onto his skin where there was no beard. He's probably a camera man doing it for a giggle.
