Liz Earle, really?

Another fairy story. No company buys another and does not intend to make profit from it. When Avon bought LE there were redundancies, rumour said 200 people.

Avon have been in financial diffs for a few years not. Coty offered to buy them and got turned down then L'Oreal. Their biggest market is actually South America.

LE is still in our John Lewis store where I live. It has gradually got more space and is very prominently placed as soon as you walk in the doors of the beauty dept.

Not a single LE item in any of the Avon brochures

recently got back from USA after spending a few weeks touring the country and to be honest i did do a lot of shopping out there and not once did i see Liz Earle for sale out there. are they sold in the USA?

Avon is a global company so could potentially make a fortune from LE but doesn't seem to market it well at all or sell it in the major american stores such as macys, sephora etc..

personally, I used LZ C&C for about 3 months a few years ago and stopped as my skin was never so bad, i'd used it and get spots and sores constantly. it was an awful product for stripping my skin and making it spotty and sore. elemis is much better (IMO)

A number of people now buy off Avon`s own website. I used to have an Avon lady but I rarely bought anything. I find much of Avon`s stuff is no good for people with very sensitive skin such as mine. The last time the the Avon lady collected her book she said she wouldn`t be doing it any longer because so many people preferred to buy it online in their own time. End of an era if Avon ladies totally disappear. My Mum was one for a short time in the 60`s and she had an Avon vanity case ( pink ? ) and sold to her colleagues and neighbours.
I suppose Avon might be slowly moving towards 100% online sales and would then perhaps wheel out the LE products as part of their brand ?

Liz Earle was sold on HSN in the US, no idea if still sold on there????

The thing I used buy from Avon was their anti per stick deo, loved it. Then they discontinued it and I still have some as I kept buying when on offer, also hand creams. I wouldn't touch their skin care as I have rosacea.

Some of their older perfumes where gorgeous Occur and Fantasque.

Oh I LOVED Occur, it was a lovely rich smelling perfume.

I buy Avon's kids range for the bubbles in the bath. Also their hair colour if the best I have ever used. I have a bottle of their shampoo on the go too-Alamond and avocado one. I have a matte nude lipstick thats pretty good too.

According to their US website it is available in New Beauty at Fred Segal in Santa Monica.

Interesting. I knew Avon were big in South America there was a programme on TV about perfumes a while ago and it got quite a lot of coverage.
I have bought it from JL before but I really think boots are starting to up their game with some of the brands they have started selling over the last few years. I was so excited to see philosophy and Nails Inc when they arrived a couple of years ago. Smashbox is starting to appear up here too but last year they had quite a lot in Bluewater.
OJon is for sale in a discount cosmetic store in Mcarther Glenn York.

I tried their blonde hair dye and it did not cover my greys. Would have used it if it did as I bought it on 2 for 1 and was a good price. Nice and easy is the best I've found at the price I want to pay.

ILS I have used the light blonde (no.9) for years now but I only have the odd grey (and counting! lol) so maybe I will change my mind at some point. I like the Avon one because of the protective pre-conditioner that you apply before the colour. The result looks very natural, and as you say-great price!
