Has anyone tried this peel able nail polish ? Have read a lot of positive reviews and was wondering .Dont seem to find any products on the website except the two .Bit sceptical on this !

A facebook fríend of mine has and she likes it but says it dries the nails so better not to use it all the time. She got hers from Q and it was sent to Spain which is a miracle as Q doesn't send varnishes overseas.

There used to be peelable polishes in the Andrea Fullerton line sold at Superdrug; I bought a couple for a quid when they were reduced to wear under glitter polishes which are usually a bugger to remove. I'd say if you're hoping for more than 24 hours wear peelable isn't the way to go but for a quick change after a night out they might be ok. I'm dubious as to whether Little Ondine peel off polish is so much better than the cheap versions but QVC's MBG is the way to test new brands like this. If you can't use regular polishes or removers they could be a way to wear colour.

Slightly off topic, would the formula of these polishes have different composition to the solvent-based normal lacquers for Royal Mail postage purposes? If the Ondine ones aren't flammable would Royal Mail accept more than 4 in a parcel? When I've sold duplicate Leighton Denny products on ebay I never send more than 4 together under the new RM rules; even if 1 or 2 of the bottles are the manicure oil and not all solvent based - I just think if they opened the package the bottles all look the same as the polishes and I'm not sure RM employees would differentiate (maybe I'm selling them short!).

You get cheaper than QVC on their website .shouod check on Saturday as they have a full hour .wonder how much it's going to be .

There are quite a few Ondine items coming soon, Diamonds; I've copied/paste this list below from the "New Beauty Items" thread (posted by Supercoolwillow recently). Some of these will probably be live for their full hour shows, the ones that say"no longer available" haven't sold out they just haven't "gone live" yet on the website; there should be full descriptions added soon:

Most of them say UK only delivery so I think my friend was lucky to get hers.

I have great results with Miss Sporty and MUA peel off bases. Stick my own colours on top and use Sally Hansen's Mega Shine (dries in 60 seconds, leaves lovely shine and deepens colours), and I'm good to go for a few days - if I use rubber gloves to wash up. I get a few weeks on my toes.

Just watching the premiere show of this brand and the model the manicurist is painting the polish onto has awful nails, therefore it is making the polish look awful and difficult to paint on!!!

Agree I turned on the TV and thought she is glooping that on.

I heard the woman say they are water based.

I agree the model's nails were awful and it was quite unpleasant to watch it being painted on. Pippa kept mentioning that you could use it on the bus as it doesn't have a strong smell but they also said it is touch dry in 8-10 minutes, REALLY! isn't nails inc 45 seconds? Sounds like an idea for use under glitters but other than that no appeal to me at all.

I think she meant with undercoat, colour then topcoat 9 mins in all, according to CH presentation anyway. Not impressed with this range however. An hour in work and I'd leave a trail of peeled glitter, never mind it lasting between 3 and 5 days!

I didn't watch the hour yet, sky plussed it for later when I get home. I can see that this is a good development if you want or medically need to avoid the dodgy solvents in normal polish and removers. Scout posted a very informative post on this topic recently which started me thinking that the cumulative effect of wearing and changing polish every other day as my 19 year old daughter does may take it's toll by the time she's in her 50s and beyond like me.

It may be that this is a work in progress towards solvent free polish that performs as well as the products we're used to; it's a shame if the product has been let down by poor quality demonstrations.

I was curious about this so ordered one from the ondine website .I used it on my gel nails as I wanted a change .After a week it was still there and when I removed it the gels also came away .So no idea if it's good or bad .Good as in I did not have to use acetone for my gels .Verdict is still pending .

Oooh that's a curious effect diamonds, I wouldn't have expected the gels to be affected by the L. Ondine polish like that.

It'll be the natural resin acting as an adhesive and pulled the gel off. Not so gentle on the natural nail IMO even if it is water based.
