Richard Jackson holding the pot of lilies, they have been showing thoughout the day.
Craig inquires, "How much would that pot of lilies cost, if purchased from a garden centre ?"
To which Richard replies, "Well actually Thompson & Morgan bought this themselves, and it cost £10."

What so the pot they have been showing thoughout the day is from another brand, and not the TSV they are flogging.
Very naughty QVC, talk about false mispresentation.

Haven't see the shows today but if it's £10, then £15 for the TSV doesn't seem such a bargain, unless I've missed something? FART PEOPLE FART!!! Plants are duff from QVC, my strawberry plants are now down to 5 from 14!!

Get a refund ...my Giant Fuchsias are no more  15 went down to 3..was told to dispose of the remaining ones, when asked how to return them, so left them to grow (joke)..they are about a quarter the size still of the ones I paid a £1 for at the garden centre!

these bulbs are from thompson and morgan and i find that they are more suited to bedding rather than bulbs and corms and dont get me strated on thier bare roots that are rootless bits of dead wood.
but dejager bulbs are very good. i have planted some lillies in pots 2 weeks ago and 90% are up and most have several shoots each.
would buy dejager maybe direct next year came nicely packed but very slow deliver time..

I'm an avid and frequent visitor to our local garden centre and the prices of QVC plants etc shock me. So too do the prices RJ quotes as "grown on" from his measly little plug plants and the lack of honest info and instructions.

The whole product range is a disgrace and shame on RJ for peddling it. He's always boasting about his 40 odd years of gardening, he should know better.

thats just it, its peddling.
the profit margin is very high for plug plants and in the past when bedding came in a 3inch pot and cost £1 each they were an economical way to purchase dozens of bedding plants.
now you can go to any diy garden centre and buy a tray of 30 f1 hybrid plants for around £3 and a lot cheaper if they are reduced.
qvc try to sell plants that are usually difficult and require specialist knowledge.better off going to a good garden centre and get an established plant for the same price.

and there is usually someone who can give really good advice about which plants would suit prticular gardens.

I got some lily bulbs reduced to £1 a packet in Asda recently, bought 2 packets and planted them up in tubs. They are looking very healthy and loaded with buds. Would never get plants from QVC. I often get reduced stuff that looks as if it's on its last legs and then enjoy nurturing it.Have had quite a lot of success. My lovely honeysuckle that rambles across the back fence was
99p from Wilko a few years back. A weedy looking thing it was , but I looked after it and have been rewarded.
