There's nothing I prefer more to wake me up in the morning than a lovely cup of tea. I like my coffee too but I'm predominately a tea drinker. Nothing fancy - Tetley's, PG tips, supermarket own brand, medium strength with milk and one sugar. I don't mind an Earl Grey every now and again - but Camomile tea, Green tea, Black tea, any kind of fruit or herbal tea just . I don't know how anyone gets any pleasure drinking what to me tastes like either hot dishwater or a cup of acrid bitterness. One Christmas I was gifted a set of "posh" tea, it wasn't herbal, but the leaves were packed in little cloth bags and somehow the tea didn't brew properly and it was beyond weak, so I binned them. Funnily enough I quite like the Lipton's iced peach or lemon tea soft drinks, but when I want a cup of tea it's gotta be "proper"! This year one of my stocking fillers was a box of Swizzel's refreshers tea bags. When I unwrapped it and saw the Refresher's logo I thought "what a cow buying me chews with my dentures"! I was relieved to see they were tea bags. I didn't really fancy the idea, but I was quite interested to give them a try. This morning I opened the box and removed one of the sealed sachets to reveal one of those silly muslin bags containing what looks like pot pourri, to be fair it smelled exactly like a Swizzel's refresher. I made the tea and let it brew and although it wasn't as egregious as some I've tasted, I poured it into a glass and I'm gonna chill it to see if tastes any better chilled. I made myself a lovely cup of PG. If the iced tea option works, I shall brew 'em all up and pour them into a big bottle and put it in the fridge - If not I've got a choice bin, or knicker drawer! I'm not sure that my smalls need to smell like sweets but waste not want not lol!
