And of course you don't have the anticipation that builds up whilst you wait about a week for your purchase to be delivered.

And no risk of that awful anti-climax when you realise your joyfully awaited purchase is actually much smaller/thinner/naffer than shown/described on air & will have to be returned.....!

You don't need the screenshot. QVC are fully aware of the message on AD checkout and are "looking into it". If they have made a mistake and even if they correct it now, anyone who has ordered up to now will not have to pay P&P because they have agreed to pay for the order on that basis - "Click Yes to authorise automatic shipment of your order as stated above.."

I am surprised they can't get an answer much more quickly. If the message about no P&P on future AD drops is right and should not be appearing, it's costing them nearly £15 for every person who has placed an order, if they continue with all 3 auto deliveries, and by this time on a TSV day, that's probably 10,000 or more? So £150,000 they're down!! If the message is right on the other hand, they should be telling viewers during the presentations (Alison K definitely said there was P&P on every drop on the 2-3pm show).

6.4 In the unlikely event that the price of a product has been incorrectly advertised, we will contact you to ask whether you wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. If you are not happy to proceed, or we are unable to obtain your instructions, we will cancel the order. We will not be obliged to supply products at the incorrect price. Further information on pricing is available at www.qvcuk.com and on QVC Active

This is from their terms and conditions. I suppose they might not bother to do this and just hope most people won't pick up on the fact they have been charged p & p on the second delivery three months later. If they don't contact purchasers then you've got every right to expect free p & p.

I was going to say that the standard QVC approach would be to offer to cancel the subsequent orders but this kind of blooper just shows how tight-fisted they can be. AD drops should be free of p&p imho.

Interesting, thanks. But is this strictly speaking "incorrect pricing of a product"? We are not querying the price of the actual LD set. They always treat the item price and P&P separately. The free P&P on future ADs is surely a "deal" rather than a product price?? There's either P&P or there's not - it's not even a discrepancy in the price of the P&P.

I notice the message is still appearing if you go on and click on the button to order the AD - there will be a lot of people to contact if it is a mistake! Maybe it's because it's a Sunday and there's nobody around to confirm either way. Also, I haven't had my order confirmation email yet. Has anyone else had theirs? I know they sometimes take an hour or two but not 17 hours in my experience.

You're right there would be a lot of people to contact so I wonder if they will not bother and just charge the p & p hoping that three months down the line most people will not remember it should have been free. The terms and conditions used to say there was a contract when the goods were dispatched so I'm not sure the order confirmation is the point of no return. Good luck though, a few years back someone here noticed some Elemis had been priced at £19 instead of £49 and quite a few of us got it!

Yes we did. Also a letter saying that it was a mistake but this one time only they would honour it.

Another online company made a major boo boo and cancelled all the orders place.

Tesco is a bugger for reneging on their low priced deals.

The problem with auto delivery there's nothing on the actual TSV AD page that states there's postage to pay on the later drops, simply that you'll pay the same unit price for each set. The only mention of postage comes with this message which the buyer clicks to accept before completing check out. I doubt it's binding, but if QVC don't contact customers to explain there's postage to be paid they risk cancelled drops or returns. I'd like to hope QVC would grasp the PR nettle and honour their "offer" as it's stated on their tragic website, but I won't hold my breath.

Interesting what you guys say about the Elemis offer and QVC honouring the price even though it was a mistake. I wonder how much money they lost by letting people have it for the lower price, though. If it wasn't a TSV, chances are fewer people spotted it and bought it so QVC thought, for the goodwill, might as well let those customers benefit. If they have to let everyone have the free P&P on the future ADs of today's TSV, on the other hand, that's nearly £15 per person they lose out on and potentially tens of thousands of pounds over all. A couple of hours ago, the presenter at the time said they had sold over 11,000 of the TSV already, but I don't know how many of those would be going for the AD.

Still baffled that they have not taken the message off the checkout page. Surely if it's a mistake, that's the first thing they should have done for damage limitation!

I think it's more a case of QVC making less profit than actually losing money, I won't lose any sleep over them. The unit price they pay for delivery of each parcel will be nowhere near the £4.95 they're charging given the volume of business they give to Royal Mail or Hermes.

Man up QVC and give everyone their auto delivery drops with free p&p!

Fair points, Jude.

Trust me it was up on here and other people spread the word. It was a total feeding frenzy all choices sold out very very very quickly.

I can't understand what's going on as I ordered the auto delivery & on the web page that I got it said the TSV price + p&p would be charged for every drop. This was at 8am yesterday.

That's right, I remember the letter we got was like a slap on the wrist for buying the item. Almost like a letter home from the headteacher if you were naughty:giggle:

Just seen my neightbour's TSV and the Starlet colour looks nice, the rest are a little dull. The bag is slightly better than I expceted but I wouldn't use it as an evening bag as Julia suggested to go with the blingy dress she was wearing!

Just received my TSV and I am very happy with it. The bag is bigger than I thought - bigger than your average make-up purse anyway but I still think it looks like a make-up purse and not an evening/clutch bag. I am a little disappointed with the Starlet as I really wanted it to be more black and less burnished gold but I think I'll wear it. If not, I know someone who will so I'm keeping the set for sure.

Got mine today, I like the forbidden territory
but not fussed about the others so might put some of the kit
up for sale in the drop
I only bought the tsv to try the renovate and to get the colours from the AD

Did anyone hear any more about P&P on future Auto Deliveries? Customer Services said they would call me back when it was all clarified and confirmed, but never did.

Was thinking the AD would be due soon but looking back the thread its every 3 months so that means we wont get it till after Christmas
I was away the weekend the TSV was on so didnt see the shows but thought the AD colours for December would be great for Christmas

The auto delivery has been despatched, here's a reminder of the colours in the december set:
Guilt Free (shimmery teal)
Be My Berry (shimmery berry)
I am Diva (silver glitter)
Razzmatazz (pink/purple glitter)
